Meat Moot Mt. prospect

My family and I traveled all the way from Wisconsin to celebrate my son’s birthday just to be treated with disrespect by the staff. They would not let us order the amount of food that we wanted and when we refused to buy more meat, they tried to charge us an “extra fee” of $8/person which we have never been charged before. What was the most disappointing however was the way that the workers spoke to us and their tone of voice. I am so disappointed and will never come back again.

Great service and absolutely delicious meat! The smoked brisket and beef ribs were seasoned perfectly and just melted in your mouth. Generous portion sizes for the entire family. Only item we didn’t really like were the mocktails - none of them had any flavor or sparkling fizz to them - they were overly sweet and flat.

Restaurant charging 3% fee to customers for using a credit card should be banned. Meat moot is not a small mom and pop convenience store. You can afford a lease next to AMC and I’m sure you can afford a 3% fee to credit card companies. You opened the restaurant, this is your responsibility to manage your own operating expenses. We live in the year 2025 where rarely anyone is walking around with cash. Please speak to management and reassess your policy because at the price point you’re charging for meat, you’re being extremely cheap trying to have us customers pay for your restaurant operating expenses. That being said , the food was phenomenal.

First time to a Meat Moot. Ordering was very weird as there are no menus. You sit down then need to go to the counter to order. With that the beef brisket and lamb shanks were very good. Many of the sauces were forgettable and not really sure why they were there. The sides mashed potatoes, cole slaw, salad were okay but didn't really add much to the meal. The meats are the star but wish they would focus the sauces and side dishes to actually enhance the meal.

Absolutely fantastic. Little did we know we were in JUST as they opened (that's on us) but the staff was super friendly and attentive, and everything was exquisite. We each got a meat and ALL OF THE SIDES HERE, and because it was the lunch special, each was only $19.99. We did order some of the mocktails, which were a little on the pricey side, but for $20/person for all this - not including the fact that this basically made two meals? We ate a lot of it and yet we couldn't finish it! It was SO good though, and the brisket was probably the best I have ever eaten. The lamb was also cooked to perfection, and eat meat melted in our mouths. Each and every side accompanying fit wonderfully. Not necessarily a daily or even a weekly go to, but if you want to treat yourself to something amazing, and perhaps also treat someone else to a fantastic meal? Meat Moot is where you want to be.

Spacious eating area, friendly staff the blonde young lady who served and greeted I and my brother was very professional and classy… the food was delicious we got the brisket 1 lbs each . Meat comes with rice, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, choice of drink and assortment of sauces… very filling. Make sure you go there on an empty stomach enjoy!

Our curiosity brought us in last night. Meat is sold by the pound and at first we were a bit surprised by the price, but then we received our food. Totally worth it! We ordered a pound of beef brisket (just right for two people) The brisket came on a platter with grilled peppers, roasted potatoes (yum), roasted garlic and cherry tomatoes. It came with coleslaw, rice and mashed potatoes with a side of mushroom gravy. Add 10 different sauces, Turkish salad and arugula salad! It was quite the meal. Brisket was tender and flavorful. Everything was delicious. Our waitress KK was super nice and provided prompt and courteous service. Definately going back, for the lamb next!!!

We had the SMOKED beef brisket... it had NO smoked taste at all and it looked like pot roast. However, the taste was pretty good. The sides and sauces left so much to desire, they all were tasteless. The mashed potatoes taste like they came from a box. I was truly looking forward to having a great experience unfortunately that wasn't the case. I would not recommend or revisit.

The food was phenomenal, especially the meats!
The service was very helpful and polite but a little slow to check on the table and bring refills (the sides are all you can eat). We will definitely be going back.

The service was simply amazing and the food was even better!! So much flavor and the meat was very tender! Can't forget about the sides, they complimented each other perfectly. Very well balanced!!

Stopped in for dinner before our movie and had an excellent experience. The food was delicious and the presentation was phenomenal.
