This was the best food I had when in Illinois and Agustin provided a genuinely pleasant and friendly service.

Wow!! The food was unbelievable, some of the best Mexican food I have ever had! This was our first time coming, and I was expecting more of an American Mexican type of food because of the location and size but this is as authentic as it gets, and it does not disappoint! I had a couple of steak and an al pastor taco and the misses had chicken quesadillas..... And we both had cilantro lime rice, amazing.... This will be our new go-to for Mexican food, everything was fresh and delicious!!!

Food was average, nothing great. What really got me was that they have a sign on the door that says if you pay cash you get 10% off. But they don’t say that if you pay with card they charge you an extra 3.5% on your bill. I understand times are tough, but there is no reason for this. It’s the cost of doing business. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Very upscale mexican fare. We showed up with about an hour left open. Server was very nice, but a little distracted/overworked it seemed. Food was excellent, and she managed to get us dessert later on in spite of the kitchen being closed. We sat outside for our meal and it was beautiful weather, but they asked us to leave around 9:30pm so they could clean up. Drink portions are small, but food portions are very generous.Great experience overall, just.make sure you have enough time to eat when showing up later in the evening.

Street tacos were okay. Went on a none busy Wednesday and it turns out they have this weird rule that they charge you $3 per person if you split a check. They weren't busy. Probably 4 tables while we were there. So i find the rule Stupid, would they not serve me if i sat alone? If I'd sat at a separate table and just chatted with my friend from across the isle then we could get our own check? Not worth the hassle to fight their silly rule. Won't be finding out as i won't return.

My order consists of crab cake tacos and shrimp tacos finishing with fried ice cream. They are divine and to die for. We are coming back !

I placed a Togo order for pork and carne asada tacos. I entered this beautiful restaurant and saw many colors and the lively atmosphere of this place. I also ordered a Horchata to wash down my food. The food is great and I would love to come back and have a date night with my wife.

This review is specifically for carry out. We've driven by Salsa Street time and time again but have yet to give them a try. So last night we had the ultimate late night craving for tacos, and decided why not today. The order was prepared quickly and the staff was super friendly despite us placing an order an hour before closing. I got the carnitas tacos, 3 to be exactly, but I was STUFFED with 2! We ordered 3 tacos because were used to tacos being small and not as full, but boy did these tacos surpass the expectations. They were full of carnitas, topped with cilantro and onions and can with limes and 2 containers of salsa. The salsa was delicious and really tied the taco together. This is probably one of the best carnitas tacos I've had in quite some time, and I'm super excited to go back and try more. Maybe barbacoa next time. The one thing that I didn't love is their horchata. It tasted grainy, and watered down. Maybe they had stopped mixing by the time we got our order but maybe I need to try it fresh at the restaurant next time. All in all, loved the flavors, and highly recommend a try!
