With the tables so close together, it's difficult to have an intimate dinner; but the lively celebrations are certainly in full swing. We came here a few months ago for dinner and to check out one of the newest restaurants in town. As others have pointed out, there's not a lot of high-end restaurants in the area, so we were excited for our meal. The food was fine - not bad, just not what I would expect for the price. The server was nice but absent for most of the meal. The big annoyance was the fact we had trouble hearing each other all night. The dining room is extremely small, and again, they really put tables right on top of each other. Overall the space is decorated nicely, and I'd go back to check out the bar, but this place is a pass for dinner.

This was my second time here. First being in July when the food was excellent, and after hearing recent negative reviews, I was hesitant to go back again. Unfortunately, I have to agree with recent patrons that the food was extremely bland. There was ZERO flavor, and we had to ask for additional salt and pepper to make it edible. Once we added that, it was good, I just don’t understand how food with no flavor whatsoever (salt your food - very simple) leaves the kitchen. Cocktails were good, service was ok. Hopefully they figure out fix this before they keep losing customers.

I was very excited for The Prospect. There are not many high end dining options in Mt Prospect so it was going to be great for date nights or birthdays. However, the food was absolutely terrible. This is something I wouldn’t expect at any restaurant let alone a high end one.
We ordered 2 pastas, 2 steaks, started with salad. The salad was bad. The steaks were small and overcooked. The pastas were poorly presented and just not good at all.

On the positive side. The vibe inside is awesome. They did a really nice job on the interior making it feel like a classy establishment. The cocktails were tasty. They also have a very cool outdoor space for the summer that could be a spot for a few drinks before getting food elsewhere.

Overall, it’s unlikely I return until I hear a positive review from a friend of mine. Multiple have gone on separate occasions and we all agree the food was bad. I’m holding out hope though because I really want there to be a solid high end space in this area of the suburbs.

Downtown atmosphere and food right here in Mount Prospect! The menu was small and there were no specials however everything we had was terrific. The cocktails were well crafted and the atmosphere was energetic but not loud like so many restaurants without carpet can be these days. The waitress we had was pleasant and professional. I ordered a cappuccino and she told me they were having issues with the machine getting proper foam but she would try it. When it arrived the foam was kinda sad and I jokingly said I was going to include it in a review, when the check came she had taken it off the bill . I was surprised as we were just kidding around but it was a real nice touch, something that is missing from so many places these days. Hope they do well, we will definitely be returning!

Thank you to Eidth for the amazing service! The food was the best that we have had in town. I’ve come with a group of friends and every dish and drink we order were spectacular. Thank you for the experience we will recommend to everyone.

Our second visit to The Prospect, but our first time sitting down for dinner—and it did not disappoint! The ambiance is beautiful, and the staff made us feel so welcome. But the real highlight was the food, which was even better than the atmosphere. The espresso martini was absolutely on point, too. We'll definitely be back soon! The Prospect is perfect for a special occasion or as a spot to bring out-of-town guests for an unforgettable dining experience.

The ambiance is super cute. They had seats at the bar and an awesome lounge area upstairs.

I gave 3 stars because the food was bland and under seasoned. When you are charging premium prices; one should expect premium taste and flavor. The food was extremely underwhelming. I ordered the Chilean sea bass that I would have doused in salt and pepper had it been on the table. We ordered Brussels sprouts that basically just had salt. The filet sliders were delicious! The drinks were good. For $400 for 4 people, we will not be returning unless the prices match the quality. There is much better food in the area for much cheaper.

One of the best experiences I've had in a while. Amazing atmosphere, great location, and professional service.
We tried several dishes recommended by our waitress; all were delicious, but my personal favorite was the lamb chops!
We sat on the rooftop, which was beautifully decorated with an intimate atmosphere.
I wish they had a bigger parking area, but the Metra stops right in front, so that’s also an option for getting there.

We had a great dinner and delicious drinks at The Prospect. We were so happy to hear they now serve dinner upstairs in the lounge area! The vibe up there feels like you're in the city. And the outdoor area had heaters, so we could enjoy a drink out there after we ate. We loved a lot of the new items on their fall menu including the short rib & Caesar salad. Our favorite new cocktails on the fall menu were the hayride, the horseman's drink, & holiday collins. This is such a great addition to our neighborhood. We can't wait to come back and try more soon!
