I generally don’t like leaving bad reviews, but this is one of those times I just can’t hold back. I had a very disappointing experience. Every dish was bland and looked nothing like the photos shown on the menu. And most importantly… please don’t ruin the taste of Georgian cuisine! The khinkali and Adjarian khachapuri tasted nothing like they’re supposed to — they were completely off from the authentic Georgian flavor . 😏
If you’re looking for real, authentic Georgian food and flavors , this is not the place. (For example “Kitchen house” in wheeling) I won’t be coming back. I’m truly disappointed.

The food was really good and fresh; however, our orders were messed up, with me not getting the items I ordered. I was given a free dish, because of all the issues with trying to tell the original wait staff what we wanted, which was really nice of them. The original person, who took our orders, had a very difficult time with English, even when we pointed out exactly what we wanted on the menu, and showed, with our fingers, the amounts we wanted. Thank goodness a different wait staff came in, and fixed everything. She was a savior, and so very nice. I'm just glad I was in such a good mood that day, plus loved the food, otherwise I know this day would've highly irritated me.

This restaurant gives you the feeling that you been invited over a person home, very comfortable and warm atmosphere.
The food takes a bit of time to come out, but that's because everything for the most part is made to order. The Kabobs were favorable and juicy. The hummus was the best I've ever had.
I will have to definitely return to try their tea and coffee!

I recently ordered a khachapuri from this place, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. When we brought it home and opened the box, the first thing we noticed was that it didn’t even look like a proper khachapuri. The dough was oddly crumpled and misshapen, and there was so little cheese that it looked like a thin piece of paper stretched over the bread. The taste was just as bad — bland and unappetizing. We couldn’t even finish it because it was basically just dry, flavorless dough. On top of that, the khachapuri cost $20, which made the experience even more frustrating. I definitely do not recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic or even decent khachapuri.

The owner’s wife is super friendly! The food is delicious and unique—highly recommended! They also bake their own bread, and it’s really professional. 👍
Very small restaurant. The lady said something in different language when we walked in. English is an OFFICIAL LANGUAGE in USA! She was so bossy and impolite. Definitely not recommend to family and friends!

Horrible experience. We were looking for a fresh new restaurant. We entered Ararat we were greated by a nasty hostess with a sour attitude, we were ordered to find a seat. Hostess argued with another customer. We left, the hostess looked at us as if we were wrong. All these revuews are misleading, this place is truly a dump!

This cafe is quite eclectic ! It serves a niche Slovak food ! It has ethnic vibe which most of the restaurants lack these days! Owner is generous and lovely! She also served me a free tea ! I’m gonna explore all the vegan and vegetarian dishes now !
