This past February marked the very first time trying this place and I'm so glad I finally gave the famed wings joint a shot.For the longest time I always thought this was just another Chicago style grill and that eventually someday I'll give it a try just to compare against dozens of other similar venues.I was dead wrong about this place, this is NOT just another Chicago grill! Franks for the Memories is special and a real gem in Mundelein. The local residents should be proud to have this iconic wonder.With the exception of the curly fries, we all ended up ordering different items to eat which was good so I could give an overall excellent rating for the food alone.My wife mentioned that the buffalo wings are some of the best wings she's ever had in her life, that burger and fries were awesome and my son never complains about the chicken strips wherever he goes.We'll definitely be back for more great grub and I wish for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s).

I hadn't been here in... I'd say at least 15 years. When I was younger I used to eat here quite often and I'm glad to say that the wings hold up. I had the medium spicy wings and they were just like I remembered. Crispy and saucey. They should really give you wet-naps, your going to need a face wash when your finished. The place has barely changed physically, it's a real throwback to a simpler time. I also had some mac&cheese wedges which were great, they were a nice break from the heat of my Buffalo wings. They have outside tables so it's a great spot to eat outside when spring rolls around as well. I still recommend this joint, I'll try to make it back sooner this time.

Phenomenal local wing place! We moved to Mundelein from the city of Chicago and Birdsnest used to be our favorite downtown. Franks for the Memories is BY FAR now the best! The food is so fresh and flavorful. Highlight recommend!!!!!

We've been going to franks for 30 plus years. We were craving franks (usually our fav) so last night was a special treat. I gotta say, we were all (4 of us)terribly disappointed. Where are they getting their wings from???? They were gristly and tough. The drums had no "white" meat, just greyish hard flesh. They were god-awful. 3 # for $40 all told. What a rip off. Never again

Very small place with often a little bit of a wait. There is a reason there is a wait and there is a reason they have been in business for so long. The wings are super tasty and excellent! Definitely a must try place! Just as a tip, order the day before for big events like the Super Bowl and pick up the day before or be prepared to wait in a long line. Like most things lately, they are a bit pricey.
