Food was fine, but service was terrible. The waiter disappeared for a long time and then forgot to bring a glass of wine. They were not busy so really no one excuse on why service was so poor. Also, was a bit confrontational when asked about the specials. Won't be going back. Positive was the beautiful sunset over the lake. We were there a few months ago and had a delightful experience so we were very bummed that it went down so quickly.
Food was truly amazing, nice location. Only caveat was how unfriendly, disassociated the staff was. No personality, we only dealt with two and we were the only table being served (slow rainy night). That was a bit of a buzz kill, but overall loved the food.
Ribs are delicious!!! Perfect every time. Lobster bisque was interestingly lemony. Would be nice to receive a side salad with entrees ( really miss the salad bar!!) Aside from the beautiful lakefront view, the refreshed interior lacks warmth..maybe do something dramatic with walls next to or above fireplace...or add more nautical decor... Will return soon—- very good service.
Great ribs and Caesar salad. Cold beer and attentive service.

The server and the ambience were wonderful but the prime rib wasn't very tasty unless you added a lot of salt and pepper on it. Even the baked potatoes weren't tasty. On the other hand, the Caesar Salad, the split pea soup, the bread and the drinks were outstanding.
My second time at Gale Street and both were 5 star experiences! The service is impeccable and the food delicious. Portions are generous and plating is beautiful. The lovely view of Diamond Lake, expecially if you are lucky enough to be there for sunset, give the restaurant an elegant ambience. I look forward to my next opportunity to visit.
I ordered the Ribs like I have for over 40 years. They are the best ribs. More meat than bones, especially compared to others ribs.
Filet 5 stars
Ribs 3 stars
Service 5 stars
Hands down a great place. Filet was perfect. Madelyn was the best bartender. Looking forward to return trips.
The food was very good, though a bit too salty. it the server fixed that for us. The service was excellent!

The food was DELICIOUS!! Everything was so good. We also had a beautiful sunset view. We had the prime rib and ribs.
Place was empty. Service lacking considering empty. Food was not hot. Prices have become too high.
Had my 60 the class reunion here today and everything was amazing. From the food to the service and the cleanliness and atmosphere.
I don’t usually write reviews, but I had such a great experience here that I had to share. I came in with my wife and kids last week for our first time after being recommended by some friends. From the start, our server Madalyn was such a pleasure and made our dining experience wonderful. It was our first time here, so naturally we had a lot of questions for her. She was so knowledgeable and she was so kind and patient with us. It can be difficult bringing in our kids to sit down somewhere but she was so great with them, we loved having her serve us. We started off with the lamb lollypops and could not get enough of them they were to die for. For our entree we got the ribs and shrimp combo as Madalyn told us they were famous for their ribs. They absolutely delivered! The meat fell right off the bone and the smoky rub mixed perfectly with their sweet barbecue sauce. We will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu and will be requesting Madalyn as our server. Thank you!!

I had the seafood linguine dinner. It had copious amounts of fish, shrimp, scallops, calamari, mussels, and linguine. And it was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend Gale Street Inn!
