This restaurant is take-out only. The girls working the front that took our order were nice. The dining area is full of stuff and is closed to guests. Unfortunately, the food was not great. The food had very little flavor and a weird texture. The shrimp in the fried rice were tiny.

This place used to be the best around. Tasted just like Chinese food I’d get in my old neighborhood in Chicago (well close). Now just complete GARBAGE, I’d wish they’d get it together before they go outta business. Was nice having a good place.

This place was doing great. Now I noticed there declining. The gravy is watery, less meat and adding more vegetables. I order green onion in my food and get soggy chives. The egg rolls taste like stuffed peanut butter. It be nice to get shrimp or chicken egg rolls were you can actually see and taste it. Maybe time to move on soon. I miss the dine in eating. Very little meat in Fried rice. Are there new owners here ?? Because it definitely changed over the past year. No consistency. One week good one week bad.

I LOVE HONG KONG CHOP SUEY in MUNDELEIN!!! They treat you like family, like a friend when they answer the phone or see you walk in for your food. The cooks in the back even greet you or tell you To have a good day if they get a chance. I swear it's like the food tastes so much better there because they really care and put that good energy into making their food. I've never had to replace my food or gotten a wrong order, I've never had missing items, and they certainly have never been rude to me once. Not to mention the portions are ENORMOUS! Definitely worth the price! And They offer a welcome atmosphere that makes you want to go back, ! And the young ladies at the front counter are so kind and patient, I could go on and on. If I could leave 10 stars I would! Thanks for the great food and even better service !!!!!
Got take - out again and it was wonderful. Great portion sizes, really nice flavors and textures. The rice is done perfectly, not mushy. Competitive pricing but the flavor makes this my favorite place for take-out.

I was so craving potstickers tonight. My husband picked some up at this place and they were completely inedible. The outside was so tough I could not bite through it. I ended up throwing them all away, as it was too far to go to return them. On the other hand, the egg roll was delicious. Steer clear of the pot stickers!!

Probably the best Chinese restraunt in the Wauconda - Mundelein - Volo area hands down. Better than 3 stars but not quite 4 stars. We order from here for take out quite often and once a while we eat in. Parking is on site and free. Large menu and fair prices. It's a very plain restraunt, nothing fancy. They are always willing to customize your order. Great hot and sour soup. Great shrimp kung pao. Everything is good here.
I used to come here when I worked in Mundelein 20 years ago. The quality is still amazing and delicious. My favorite is the Kung Pao Chicken, with no peanuts and extra spicy. The best!!!!

I have ordered twice through Hong Kong chop Suey and they royally screwed up my order both times. The last time I ordered from them I ordered through Uber Eats but called the restaurant just to make sure they received the order and it was correct. I received a voicemail from the restaurant stating they were closed from June 15, 2024 through July 15, 2024. The date I placed the order was June 28, 2024. I contacted Uber eats to attempt to cancel my delivery but to no avail. Within 20 minutes they showed up on my door with the full order from Hong Kong chop Suey. I totally wasted $70! I will never order from them again.
