I went in on a Sunday. The place was empty. Now I know why. First of all the service was okay. No problem with that at all. I ordered a shrimp po' boy and there was only four shrimp and they were very small so it was mostly just bread and loaded with french fries and that cost me 15 bucks.

Looking for good seafood place on line and I came across this place, so me being a seafood junky I decided to give them a try and man I was not disappointed the food was fresh and hot, I ordered the 1/2 shrimp they were huge , { yum yum }my wife order the shrimp po boy, also a winner, the staff was very friendly I will defiantly be coming back.

We were immediately greeted by the friendly staff. My husband and I both ordered the crab leg dinner. The dining area was very clean and comfortable. Our food was hot, fresh and delicious. We will definitely be coming back! Did I mention how awesome the staff is? Thank you for an awesome dinner

Surfboard sandwich looked and tasted different today than all the other times. Even the fries were bland and soggy. I called to ask if they had changed the sandwich recipe, the lady said no, when I explained to her it was different and I’m wondering if they gave me the right order (because they scratched someone’s name off the bag, wrote my name underneath and covered it with a stapled flyer) she said “well I don’t know what you want me to do it’s only two people working here” after hearing her say that I had no further interest in continuing the call. I don’t know much about types of fish but I’m certain my “surfboard” that is supposed to come with ”whiting fish” was prepared and served to me with a tilapia fillet instead. The flavor and texture and even size was just completely unmistakable.Won’t be ordering again. Unfortunate because I used to love this place. The surfboard was my favorite

Food was great. It's mostly fried fish shrimp and chicken, but it's all good. We had chicken, shrimp, fish dinner, fish tacos, dirty rice, and green tomatoes. Nobody left hungry. The place is not busy inside but the must do alot of takeout the cooks where working hard. The gent taking orders was very plesent and patient with our large order. They even brought out beignets after we finished eating, which are worth stopping in for.
Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu, but its all seafood. They do have chicken tender as a meal.

Waited 30 extra min for my pickup order and when i got home lobster tail was still raw. If you dine in be ready to smell like burned oil for a week.

First of all its so spacious when you walk in and doesn't smell strongly of seafood or fish. It's very clean and the chairs at the tables are extremely comfortable. You MUST try the GRILLED shrimp they are amazing and HUGE ! Also the cocktail sauce and mild sauce was excellent and went well with the dishes. The HONEY HOT wings are a MUST you will not be disappointed but also the buffalo wings are extremely good as well. Everything is made in front of you and you can tell it's very fresh ingredients. Please support this local restaurant as it's one of the few seafood spots in Mundelein. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back for more

Avoid if possible. The potential is there but key components are missing that make Sufs Up a big NO. First, almost everything is overpriced. When I went, there were only three other tables with patrons at them, of which, only two tables were eating, the third was waiting for their order. This is counter service. They specialize in fried chicken and seafood. We ordered 1/2 pound of grilled shrimp and 8 wings. It took 1/2 hour to get our order and it cost almost $50. We had one can of soda with it because their soda machine was broken and they didn't have water. The wings came with run of the mill hot sauce in little plastic containers, they weren't tossed in the sauce. The shrimp was a little overcooked. For $50 I expect much better. We ate in and weren't provided any plates or utensils. Lower your prices, provide a better customer experience and maybe then we'll revisit, otherwise we'll go elsewhere.
