I've been looking for a reasonably priced, fresh fish fry in my area for a while and I stumbled on the Irish Mill pub. The fish fry is only available Wednesday evening through Saturday, or until their weekly load of fresh cod runs out. Since the fish is never frozen and they make their own beer batter, it is 1,000 times better than every other bar where they just fry up some dried up frozen cod strips. This place is highly recommended.

Wow, what a terrible establishment . The service was absolutely terrible . We along with multipleother patrons where sitting at the bar waited to get greeted for 25 minutes. It was NOT busy by any means what so whatever . The ONE bartendar on a saturday night was walking around aimlessly not making eye contact with anyone . Smelling and trying multiple liquors like he was having a tasting and no one existed at the bar. The group next to us tried to get his attention two times and he just looked down and kept tending to tastings different whiskeys. All anyone wanted was to be acknowledged… a simple “hello” or “i’ll be right with you guys “ isn’t too much to ask for . What a terrible impression

Fun neighborhood bar, very local Americana feel, got to listen to a great band, bar food was surprisingly good, nice selection of Irish Whiskeys.

A lady there behind me said we where trash and everyone stopped n looked at us like we weren't welcome we left a good tip but the bar tender kinda chuck the receipt n pen at my girl it was just her and I casually dressed ,,,another fat guy with glasses sat next to me and said he'll make sure we know where in his neck of the woods I def felt the hate I'm sure they'll deny it but I know these are reputable people I never forget faces

Went to honor Justin at his celebration of life. It was a special honor to know Justin. He ran The Mill for 16 years, made people laugh, made people feel welcomed like it was home. Made the best corned beef sandwiches!! He will be deeply missed. I know The Mill staff will take after and be the best bar/food for people to come and enjoy. Such a great atmosphere. Highly recommend The Irish Mill to anyone looking for live music, great food and amazing staff. Thank you, The Mill. Yesterday is a day I will never forget. Sláinte!

It's been here since 1922! Get your Irish on and Dive over to the Mill. Bangers are top notch and the fish is great. You want Irish whiskey; you go to the Mill.

Bar Mom was awesome. She served up the beers quick. I Got the fish fry because a sign on the wall said best fish fry in lake county. I had my doubts, but after seeing the size of the fillet and tasting it, it might be the best in the county. Make sure you check out the 3 legged ceiling fan. Thanks to the dude who bought us a beer after winning big on the slot machine.

Microwaved food, visible mold on the walls, terrible service and one staff member to do all jobs and bartend. Avoid the potential food poisoning.

Very dark in there. Ordered Bloody Mary it was spicy premix and vodka with a old lime garnish! That was it!!Guess I'm used to Wisconsin Bars that make the seasonings themselves and use horseradish and garnish it with just about everything! Pickles olives poppers onion rings mini burgers and the straw is a hollowed out stick of sausage!

Awful service. The bartender was rude, did their best to ignore us for the entire duration of our stay, and quite literally didn’t even ever say one word to us until we were going to close out. Definitely won’t be back.

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. Only went there once. When we got there no greeting upon walking in. Sat down and the bartender saw us, proceeded to play slots on his phone for the next 10 minutes before even asking us what we wanted to drink (almost walked out). And the over all atmosphere just wasn't good. Will never return.
