Consistently great food, thoughtful service from the staff, and a nice place to eat and catch a good cross section of Murphysboro folks. I have a handful of restaurants I love for Mexican cuisine and El Jalisco is in my top 3!
Best Mexican restaurant in the area. Generous portions for the price, great service, well seasoned. People who complain about the loudness are correct but it’s literally the volume of people in this area, took me a long time to get used to how loud people are in this area.
My new favorite Mexican restaurant in Murphysboro! It is a great place to eat delicious, well-seasoned food! Customer service is excellent, and prices are fair.
The decor is beautiful. So far, I have tried the Street taco platter, horchata, El Jalisco with rice, cheese, shrimp, steak, chicken, and the Super Nacho. I will return often. Please keep the service and quality up!
