Carla helped me find a tea someone gifted me just based on my description! This place is a wonderful tea haven! I found a lovely gift for a friend and then some. I have to say this place is now my usual spot for tea selections. Thank you Carla!

Too broad a selection, really. I kinda wish they weren't packaged in non recyclable / compostable plastic bags, but what're you gonna do. Chuffed to try some new loose leaf flavors. Be aware entry is only possible on Jefferson if you park in the free Van Buren lot

I am a long time customer but over the course of the last year, Adagio has removed customer support, tracking is delayed so you can't track product right, and shipping take longer. I ordered back on Dec 30 and as of Jan 13, still in a transit. This is not the first, second or third time there has been a significant delay. Customer services response is they have no responsibility once it ships. Finally, they don't have most of the teas you want in stock. The notify me button doesn't work so you are left wondering. I would NOT recommend using Adagio website, go to the store or find a different company.

Edit: The economy shipping according to the website is 4 to 8 days for clarification. As of this morning, it will be transferred to the USPS and looks like maybe Jan 15 but definitely by Jan 16th. This is 15 to 16 days from order. In my experiences, this is turning into the norm not due to the holiday. At the end of the day, the service online is going down and I would suggest to go to the store for a much better experience.

On Wednesday morning, I decided to stop by a tea shop in search of some quality teas. After reading positive reviews about Adagio Teas, I was eager to see if the hype was true. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff. The shop had an impressive selection of teas, making it difficult to choose just one. I mentioned to the staff that I was shopping for my mom, who loves to drink hot tea, and they were incredibly helpful in explaining the differences between the various types of teas. I was amazed at the depth of knowledge they had and the passion they had for tea. It was a great learning experience and so far, my visit to Adagio Teas has been fantastic.

My favorite tea shop. I live in aurora, and I drive 30 minutes out of my way to come here. Great selection and very helpful staff.

The best tea shopping experience I've ever had. Adagio is perfect for a gift for family, friends or a treat for yourself!

The store is beautifully laid out and well organized. The teas here are always amazing.

I am sad I forgot to call ahead to schedule a tea tasting. Instead I ended up buying a lot of teas to try at home. Probably more than I would have if I had tasted them all. That said, I've never had a bad tea from here. I've had some I didn't personally care for, but the tea itself wasn't bitter or icky.

So why the 4* review? I didn't see a way to enter that didn't have stairs. In addition, there was no handrail to help those going in and out with stairs so close to the door. It's possible I missed it, but I'd love to see a handrail closer to where people would go in and out the door. Especially for older adults or those who use a cane.

The store is still fabulous and I may have not seen another accessible entrance. I will definitely call ahead for a tasting next time we come to town and in the mean time I can always place an order online.

This is a wonderful tea store with a great staff. Unfortunately one of the things that drew us to this store in Chicago, we drove all the way from Michigan. Were the pictures on google that showed all the teas in jars that you could open and smell. Unfortunately the pandemic wrecked that, they're now in cans and you have to ask the staff to help you. It's still worth the visit for a true tea a·fi·ci·o·na·do.

A lot of great teas, from reasonable prices to expensive but well worth the cost.

Wonderful service from Peggy.

Very helpful in finding me an antioxidant "gateway" green tea and not overselling. Recommended a lower priced item.
