I came here for my birthday, and while the setting was nice—warm lighting, inviting layout, good for casual dining—the food didn’t really hit. I ordered the burger and mac and cheese. The burger lacked seasoning and fell flat, which was disappointing. The mac and cheese was good—creamy and decent—but not memorable.
The service stood out the most. The staff was kind, attentive, and handled everything smoothly. I appreciated that. Still, between the unseasoned food and the lack of real flavor, I wouldn’t return. I like food that leaves an impression—and this just didn’t.

Food took roughly an hour for an appetizer and we never received our entrees. Our waitress ignored us the whole time and wouldn’t come over to us when we tried to ask for the bill or a refund. Really bummed that it was so bad because we were excited to try the food. Should have just gotten a scoop of ice cream next door.

This was the second time we went and both were not good. Thought we’d give it another shot. Won’t happen again. The food was great. I’ll give it that. Our server only took our order and dirty dishes and that’s the only time we saw her.
Our food came out all at once (apps and all) and part of mine was wrong. But they were so busy I just dealt with it. Our server did not bring these. Someone else did.
It was so incredibly loud that we couldn’t hear one another talk. I mean like ear-bleeding kind of loud and then they turned on music. There are no sound-reduction items anywhere that I could see.
It was very uncomfortable with the sheer volume of noise and the tiny table we were seated at. No thanks.

Second visit in a year and both were poor. This time was busy, but service is just poor. Never saw our waitress after ordering until check time. No water refill, no check if I wanted more wine. It is insanely loud when crowded and then for some reason like tonight they even turn the music up. Food is good, but with so many excellent choices around no need to ever go back.

It has the potential to be a great place, however on our visit it fell short in many ways. Parking is along the street and can be hard to find, I don't hold that against them, just letting people know what parking is like. There were 4 of us and we were seated at a 4 top table and one chair was a high chair so we traded it for a regular chair from another chair. We sat quite a while before our drink order was taken so we were ready to place our order by time he came to take our order. Some drinks were delivered in a timely manner however the server needed reminded when he brought the food out he had yet to bring one person's drink. The drinks were ok. However, I do not recommend a Moscow Mule as it was not made correctly at all. The Reuben was ok. The server said it was made with a unique sauce however it was just a basic sauce and the sandwich and fries were room temp. The salad tasted good until near the bottom of the salad there was a long black hair mixed in. Our server was not efficient in any way. We had to ask him for our bill then after waiting and waiting we had to ask him to take it. There are too many nice places with great service to go here.

Even the lady that brought us our food was also friendly, she is probably the saving grace. , The restaurant has a nice and cozy ambience, but the service could be improved as the waitress who took our order had a bad attitude., We wanted to try some authentic food so I looked up places on yelp and found this spot

Update to review, I think the rustic and "homely" direction they gone in is an improvement to the last time I came here years ago. Came at Christmas Eve and I love the decorations. No more amuse bouche but it's not needed. Food is tasty, good portions, and though the plating is alright, it lends to the rustic feel.
Came here for a quick lunch. The cocktails were very good. Definitely try the sugar plum cocktail it is so good and I wish I had had a second one. Mac and cheese is on point, the chicken sandwich is too good HIGHLY recommend. You can’t really go wrong here. The only thing that wasn’t great was the amount of time we waited for drinks. Perhaps they were understaffed? Despite that everyone was friendly so overall it was a pleasant experience.

The fish fry was amazing, light & crispy, almost tempura. Cannot wait to go back and try "eleventeen cheeses". Everything was worth the price and the environment was both classy and fun at the same time. Great service even on a busy Friday!

Just did for lunch ... given prices and food quality could see a five but it was just two folks and just a sandwich each. Mushroom burger very good and companion liked Tuna (?) sandwich. Much better than the average lunch sandwich option and price in line with lower quality places. Ambience fine but very good food.
