I can not tell you enough of how amazing their food is. I'm up here for a week or 2 annually from Florida. I am so glad I chose this restaurant as my last dinner before I go back home tomorrow. I love that it's fresh, farm to table, and the food is absolutely amazing. If you want really good, fresh food and a very nice atmosphere. I highly recommend allegory in Naperville. Excellent food, service, and all around great service. We arrived almost 45 minutes early to our reservation time and they were able to seat our party of 5 when we arrived. Super nice staff.

Good food, large portions, decent cocktails, awful sound baffling. Bring earplugs or perhaps walkie-talkies if you want to hear what your dinner partners are saying.
Seriously, some decorative corkboard or rock wool hidden behind paintings would work wonders.

Food was excellent and the establishment was very warm and inviting. Our service was a bit slow and didn't give us much time to respond when asked how things were going, so I was unable to ask for a water refill.

Came here for the first time last night with my husband, and it did not disappoint! Our server, Chris B, was so well versed in the menu and made great recommendations. The pork belly sliders were spicy (for a very spice intolerant person) but still life changing. The scallops and risotto were buttery and well seasoned. The brussel sprouts were the best we’ve ever had, and the prime rib was so flavorful. The drinks were exquisite. We cannot wait to come back!

For $45, the short rib glaze was unbelievably salty — easily the most over-salted dish I’ve ever had — and a bit dry on top of that. The Philly sandwich wasn’t much better; it was drenched in giardiniera, so oily and spicy that it completely overpowered the sandwich.
The service made things worse. When we arrived, there were only four or five tables occupied, yet the hostess tried to seat us at a small two-top right near the entrance, even though the dining room had plenty of open tables. As we watched, she proceeded to fill all the booths that were open with other parties. We asked to be moved and were reseated on the right side. There were still several empty tables nearby, but the hostess then placed a family with two crying toddlers directly next to us. We moved ourselves one table over just to get some peace.
For a Wednesday night with plenty of open tables, the whole experience felt careless and poorly managed — from the seating decisions to the food execution. Definitely not worth the price.

Update Oct 2025: I've now been a few of times and their food is great. This last time their cocktail menu was boring and everything was way too sweet. It also gets extremely loud when they are busy. My wife and I went with another couple and you couldn't carry on a conversation with the whole table without yelling so we mainly talked to the person next to us.

Dude! I got the Short RIB! OH-mazing!!! The red wine gravy, the creamy mashed potatoes w/ just the right amount of potato pieces nestled inside! And the BEEF! Tears of joy... I literally could pull off a bite with a fork and one hand it was so tender. Mmmmmmmmmmm.... Too good to stuff myself... I took home just enough to savor it tomorrow!!
Lively ambiance! Service was present, but not intrusive! I am so glad I came, and I will be back!

This place is great and our waiter, Liz was amazing! The food was delicious and the atmosphere is so cute. We came in October and everything is decorated for Halloween. Definitely recommend.
