Lovely lunch on the patio with excellent sandwiches and cocktails. The steak sandwich and chicken avocado were fantastic! The Bev's Old Fashioned and French Blonde were great. Our favorite cocktail was Days Gone Chai, an amazing take on an espresso martini. Our server Jason was very friendly, attentive, and kind. We live in the west loop just off of "restaurant row" and this is the best lunch (value, service, food, cocktails) we've had in a long time.

Brunch was amazing!!!! The French toast is delicious! It’s sweet, but not too sweet which is perfect! The fried chicken and biscuits is equally delicious, I ordered it with scrambled eggs instead. These photos show half size plates. The Big Pear Hug was very yummy and a nice frozen drink on a hot day! The patio was breezy and relaxing with overall great waiter service! Check out Bev’s for great service and amazing food!

The food was actually pretty good and the service was pretty good as well, until a certain point, the bill. Everyone's share was 50-55$. I paid for my dinner with a gift card. I had 150$ on it, which I expressed to the waiter. The waiter comes back with everyone elses credit cards and receipts but mine. I go up to the hostess (she was very pleasant) and told her the situation and she goes to get our waiter. He finally informed me that the card only allowed him to charge a certain amount. This is all fine, but why didn't he tell me when he was charging everything especially when we told him split it equally? So now my friends got charged the rest of my portion. Why would he take it upon himself to make that decision? Why couldn't he tell me when he was handing back everyone's receipt? Why didn't he give the gift card back? Why didn't he give me my receipt when everyone else got theirs? Why did I have to find him and figure out why I didn't get these items? From my perspective it just seemed odd, which I expressed to him. I never had an establishment, make the decision for a customer regarding wether or not a customer should get their receipt or get their gift card back, even if the balance is zero and especially If I'm thinking there is 150$ on it.

After moving inside, we sat at our new table in the bar area which is very quaint. Our server was super friendly but the food was meh! I really wanted to like this place, it has a bit of a Hampton vibe but misses the mark on a few things, most importantly the food. So underwhelming we will not return.

Despite what we read in the reviews, we decided to give Bev’s a try and we loved it! We’ve now been back five times in just a few months and each time I would give it 5 stars. The food is consistently good, the cocktails are well-balanced, the atmosphere is lovely, and the staff is great.

It was my first visit and I was meeting someone who had been several times and suggested we meet for lunch here. The decor is very nice, bathroom was clean and our waiter was attentive and friendly. We both ordered the Bev burger and fries. We both enjoyed the burger and the fries. I loved that the fries were crispy and the potato strings on the burger were an extra touch to the burger. I would definitely go back to try a drink and maybe the brunch menu.

Stopped by the other night to listen to the music and grab a drink. Went to the bar, the bartender gave us the cocktail menu and told us we could sit anywhere, which we did. Looked over the menu. Waited for a server. Waited some more. There were plenty of staff just no one taking orders. Some were in the back folding napkins. Others were chatting along the bar. Some were filling water pitchers but no one came by our table. We waited and waited, finally got up and left.
