Bathroom is absolutely disgusting, couches are dirty, chai is ok at best… especially for the price. I wouldn’t come back honestly. There was also pee on the ground, the workers could clean this up instead of scrolling on TikTok.

We ordered chai and cheese parathyroid with fries. Chai was good , quantity of fries was good too. Cheese paratha was okay.

I have been going to this place since they have opened. Since last two times, I have noticed that their food quality has went down a lot. I had halwa puri and desi omelette. Desi omelette was uncooked and oily, and halwa puri doesn’t taste the same as it used to.

We ended up at Chai Ho Jai again today. I think I am getting addicted to this place! 😊
Just could not wait to dive into desi keema omelette with gluten-free roti. Freshly prepared served hot! This time we tried Mumbai cutting chai pot, ginger added to karak chai- awesome! Added another pic today. Thank you to all the staff!

Wow, what a find! One of the VERY FEW DESI places where they serve Gluten Free roti’s upon request with their omelette, rolls, paninis etc. We had a regular lachha paratha that comes with malai and honey, and desi keema omelette with gluten free roti… and chai teapot! We ate to our hearts delight… and initially we were thinking about quick in and out with chai only! 😊
Will definitely visit again and recommend. Come early for brunch, you will not regret it. Waiting for them to open up in Lombard. Thank you Bilal for everything.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I always make sure to review places I know I’ll definitely be visiting again; the ones that are truly worth it. Until now I hadn’t found a really good halwa puri spot, but this one stands out. The taste was amazing
However, one downside is that the portion of chana and aloo is way too small. By the time I finished one puri, the curry was already gone, and there wasn’t enough left for the second one.
They really need to work on the portion size. Other than that, the taste of their halwa puri is hands down the best in the suburbs

Food was satisfactory. Chaat was great tasting . Parathas were little oily. Chai was excellent. I ordered Mumbai cutting. Loved it

Good tasty food. Tried their Halwa Puri and Karak Chai.
You get 2 giant Puris, Alloo Bhaji, Channa, Pickle and Halwa. Food portions are decent. Food is tasty, Halwa is on the sweeter side. Tea is delicious.
Haven't tried any other menu items and are in the bucket list. Will definitely recommend to try at least once.

Tried the following items on our second visit.
Chicken Club Sandwich and Pink tea were Average. Crisp potato served with sandwiche were good.

Food was excellent! I got the brunch Halwa Pura set as well as the Mumbia Cutting to drink. Everything was delicious and I didn't have to wait long for food. I wish I lived nearby - I'd love to come back and try more of the menu.

Chai Ho Jai Tea Room is one of the best Indian tea houses in the Chicago suburbs!The tea and coffee selection is great and also delicious! It's also a pretty atmosphere too!☕☕

Food is below average. Chains & tables are dirty. Lack of staff , the staff is not friendly looks like they are under paid. Don't waste your hard earned money there. We have ordered several dishes, most if them cold.
I will no come again.

Their food quality was very good, but the service was pathetic. It took them 40 minutes to serve us, and we were their first customers of the day. Then, they blamed the delay on labor shortage.
