A long-standing cornerstone of downtown Naperville’s local scene. There are a bunch of ice cream flavors and you can top it with a scoop of eggless cookie dough. A fantastic business model. Encountered some nice young cashiers serving the desserts and so grateful to return to a childhood memory. It’s right next to an arcade/bar so you can enjoy the ice cream and cookie dough there.
Such a fun place! Great place to snag a quick sweet treat
My husband and I were visiting from out of state and we really wanted to try their cookies and cookie dough. 5 seconds after purchasing the cookie, it accidentally fell on the floor. The guy working told me I would have to repurchase a new one even though the first one fell right in front of him. Told me that’s not “his rule”.
Honestly felt like this store doesn’t value customers. Save your money and go 2 stores down to insomnia where they’ll value you and your money.

Delicious cookie dough, and ice cream together is unheard of. But not here, at cookie dough creations they make it happen and it is heaven on a spoon, with quick service and affordable prices it is my favorite spot in downtown to grab some quick ice cream. There are plenty of seats if you wish to dine in, along with a fabulous back room with lots of arcade machines for that nostalgic feel. There are also benches outside for some outside room if you want.

Have been coming here for years. Wide variety of ice cream and cookie dough options. Be warned, the cups looks small, but they pack them. I'm a larger guy, and even the medium was a lot for me to finish. There baked cookies are also delicious

The idea that you can scoop cookie dough and put it on ice cream cake to someone in a dream. They woke up and turned thatDream into reality. That reality is your unknown dream come true… everything else is now just ice cream. Which is still magnificent, but now it’s magnificent + heck yeah! Can’t say no to cookie dough!

This place serves egg-free cookie dough in the same way as ice cream. (Although they do also have a dozen or so flavors of ice cream.)Their cookie dough is incredibly sweet and delicious. I love sugary treats, but even I can not eat it all in one day. I tend to eat about half one day and put the rest in my fridge for the next day. I prefer the chocolate chip and sugar cookie dough flavors.NOTE: I am severely lactose-intolerant, but I can enjoy those previous flavors of cookie dough without fear. The chocolate chips are not very milky at all. However, they probably do contain enough milk product that they MIGHT affect milk-ALLERGIC people, I do not know. They do not have tables, post-pandemic. Prior to the Pandemic, they USED TO have little tables in a back room, along with some 1980's video game machines. But that tabled area has not been open for customers since lockdown. (As of February, 2024.)They have one bench inside the store, and another just outside the door, for sitting and eating. They also have a selection of brand-name prepackaged candies for sale, along one wall. Parents should be aware that your kids are undoubtedly going to ask you to buy some candy. The store is located within steps of the famous Riverwalk. If you can make the time, be sure to walk along the Riverwalk in any weather which allows any kind of stroll. It's a VERY long and peaceful meandering route.Pets are very welcome on the Riverwalk. I do not know if the Cookie Dough store welcomes them, but since most customers only come in to buy food and leave, then I would GUESS they would have no problem with a VERY well-behaved dog, if the dog was not staying longer than required for buying food. I cannot say for sure. The bench area is large enough that a leashed dog could be kept away from other customers, but the ordering area is VERY small and not appropriate for dogs.On the nicest-weather days, it can get very crowded in downtown Naperville, and parking can be a hassle. While there are parking spots right outside the shop and all along the street, these are invariably occupied. However, there are parking garages nearby within a very short walking distance from this store. I suggest the one across from the "Rosebud" restaurant. It has two floors of parking, and each floor has different entrances. Most days, they have plenty of parking there, and on busy days, you usually just need to drive around for a few minutes until a spot opens up.The Cookie Dough shop is a great treat and well worth taking any extra effort required to visit here. Sometimes we drive into downtown Naperville just to have some of their cookie dough.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are a few steps before you can get in the front door. They are not at all bad if you are able to walk at all (even my knees with their arthritis don't mind the few steps up into the shop.) However, a wheelchair could not navigate them.

Can’t go to Naperville without stopping at Cookie Dough. My kids love the play room in the back. Their chocolate mint ice scream is the best.

I came here a couple times. Each time customer service was good. They don’t greet you immediately when you walk in but they are helpful if you have questions. They have a decent selection of ice cream and cookie dough. I had the Oreo ice cream and it was scrumptious. They gave me a heaping serving which was good. Prices aren’t bad. Just a note, you can find more seating in the back.
