The idea that you can scoop cookie dough and put it on ice cream cake to someone in a dream. They woke up and turned thatDream into reality. That reality is your unknown dream come true… everything else is now just ice cream. Which is still magnificent, but now it’s magnificent + heck yeah! Can’t say no to cookie dough!

This place serves egg-free cookie dough in the same way as ice cream. (Although they do also have a dozen or so flavors of ice cream.)Their cookie dough is incredibly sweet and delicious. I love sugary treats, but even I can not eat it all in one day. I tend to eat about half one day and put the rest in my fridge for the next day. I prefer the chocolate chip and sugar cookie dough flavors.NOTE: I am severely lactose-intolerant, but I can enjoy those previous flavors of cookie dough without fear. The chocolate chips are not very milky at all. However, they probably do contain enough milk product that they MIGHT affect milk-ALLERGIC people, I do not know. They do not have tables, post-pandemic. Prior to the Pandemic, they USED TO have little tables in a back room, along with some 1980's video game machines. But that tabled area has not been open for customers since lockdown. (As of February, 2024.)They have one bench inside the store, and another just outside the door, for sitting and eating. They also have a selection of brand-name prepackaged candies for sale, along one wall. Parents should be aware that your kids are undoubtedly going to ask you to buy some candy. The store is located within steps of the famous Riverwalk. If you can make the time, be sure to walk along the Riverwalk in any weather which allows any kind of stroll. It's a VERY long and peaceful meandering route.Pets are very welcome on the Riverwalk. I do not know if the Cookie Dough store welcomes them, but since most customers only come in to buy food and leave, then I would GUESS they would have no problem with a VERY well-behaved dog, if the dog was not staying longer than required for buying food. I cannot say for sure. The bench area is large enough that a leashed dog could be kept away from other customers, but the ordering area is VERY small and not appropriate for dogs.On the nicest-weather days, it can get very crowded in downtown Naperville, and parking can be a hassle. While there are parking spots right outside the shop and all along the street, these are invariably occupied. However, there are parking garages nearby within a very short walking distance from this store. I suggest the one across from the "Rosebud" restaurant. It has two floors of parking, and each floor has different entrances. Most days, they have plenty of parking there, and on busy days, you usually just need to drive around for a few minutes until a spot opens up.The Cookie Dough shop is a great treat and well worth taking any extra effort required to visit here. They are not at all bad if you are able to walk at all (even my knees with their arthritis don't mind the few steps up into the shop.) However, a wheelchair could not navigate them.

Can’t go to Naperville without stopping at Cookie Dough. My kids love the play room in the back. Their chocolate mint ice scream is the best.

I came here a couple times. Each time customer service was good. They don’t greet you immediately when you walk in but they are helpful if you have questions. They have a decent selection of ice cream and cookie dough. I had the Oreo ice cream and it was scrumptious. They gave me a heaping serving which was good. Prices aren’t bad. Just a note, you can find more seating in the back.

Love the concept. You get to choose from scoops of ice cream and scoops of cookie dough to scoops of just one or the other. Between the five members in my family probably tried most of the flavors and agree they're all quite delicious.

We love Capucino break and Zanzibar chocolate flavors. Every time when we visit downtown Naperville coming here for a treat is a must.

An experience that brought me back to my childhood when I used to raid the fridge & go for the "cookie dough" first!!! Quite the COOKIE ADVENTURE & we loved every last bite!!! #CookieDoughCreations #Naperville #Downtown

What an amazing idea to combine two of the best desserts together!Great staff and they made some recommendations for my friends who hadn’t been there before. Also if you have a sweet tooth, upgrade to a larger size because the mini or single scoop just doesn’t get the job done.

The cookie dough is amazing!!!! My favorite is the m&m. Customer service was great! I went in on a Friday night.

The best ice cream and cookie dough! I've never been to a place that has edible cookie dough, especially with so many options. As soon as you walk in (or before!), you get a huge whiff of the delicious, sugary sweetness. It is a small place, but you can sit outside on a bench or in downtown, or in their back room where they also have some arcade games. Surprisingly I've never had to wait in a line here! I would come more but it is so sweet! A nice treat!

Some of the worst customer service in Naperville. I just wanted cookie dough and they made me feel like I was wasting their time while I was ordering. The man at the register was very rude and glared at me when I chose the lower tip option. Do not go here if you dont want to be upset while eating your cookie dough.

Very tasteful, I have lived in Naperville 50 years. I never tried it. I really loved the creations. No wonder it has been there so long.
