El Taco Ranchero Naperville

Hate to post such a negative comment, but this place is filthy, and the food is marginal at best. There are so many other options in Naperville, but this is close to home, and for that reason, I was 🙏 it would be even just mediocre. I won't be back.

Food is made fresh so it takes a while. If you’re in a hurry it’s best to order ahead. Not a whole lot of inside seating and not really a place I could imagine eating in, except maybe after a night out.

I hate to write this, because this was one of my favorite places since we moved to Naperville in 2019. We would go to their food truck at the mall, then they opened their restaurant on Washington, less than 10 mins from my house, and it was fantastic. I ordered a burrito almost weekly throughout my pregnancy in 2020. The food was SO good, and quite reasonably priced. We have gone there at least 1-2 times per month for years. UNFORTUNATELY, the quality and flavor has really fallen off a cliff, and the prices are almost unbelievable now.

We just ordered take out from there....$51 for 2 burritos (not the dinner), an order of chips/guacamole/salsa, and 2 Coca Colas. The food is awful. My steak burrito lacks that flavor that kept me coming back, and the steak is AWFUL (fatty, gristly, rubbery). My husband's pork burrito was also very disappointing. The chips, filling maybe 1/3 of a standard brown lunch bag, were very stale. I'm so frustrated and angry, this was such a waste of money ($51!!). I can confidently say that they lost some customers today.

First time and the boy maybe he was tired maybe I saw wrong but his expression was just say what do you want and that's it but me for not wanting to go make food

The food is delicious when prepared properly. We ordered nachos with cheese and jalapeño peppers. Once home we opened the container to find only chips. The host stated the cheese wasn't ready so he didn't add any and forgot the jalapeño. Our order of 2 nachos and 1 burrito totaled $35 which would have been Ok if we received what we ordered. This restaurant started out great and has declined on food quality drastically.

A takeout order for 8, how do you screw up 4 of the 8??? Because you can't speak English nor understand Spanish. Never will we even think about this place again. BTW the food was just ok, definitely nothing special. Just go somewhere else!

The Tacos were good but you're lucky if they hear you come in. It sounded like there was quite a few people in the back. One person eventually looked through the kitchen door and someone else came out to take our order and then a 3rd person rang us up. Its a bit expensive $3 a taco for a small size taco.

My favorite burritos by far. Great, quick and friendly service too. My son rates the tacos as the best in the burbs.I highly recommend this restaurant!

We love their tacos and salsa verde. However, if you place an order through the phone their service and attitude is short and a little rude! Placed an order and didn’t even get a hello or thank you. Literally said “10 minutes, bye” ?? Maybe because I’ve worked costumer service and restaurant jobs I had some “standard” anyways, food is great but don’t think we will buy again, it’s the same thing every time
