The grilled cheeses were delicious, but the soups weren’t great. I will definitely go back for the homemade sloppy Joan grilled cheese.
Great place for lovers of grilled cheese, whether it be a classic grilled cheese or a more creative take on it. It's also vegetarian-friendly. The space is clean and well-run, the staff is friendly, and the decor is charming.

Everdine’s Grilled Cheese is a cool spot right in the heart of Naperville, Illinois, offering a unique spin on the classic grilled cheese.
They have a variety of grilled cheese sandwiches like teriyaki chicken, Boar’s Head meats, tuna mac & cheese, or you can even build your own. Each sandwich is grilled cheese with a twist, making the menu fun and creative.
The place is small, with only four tables and some barstool seating around the counter, which is perfect for a quick bite with a couple of friends. Outdoor seating is available when the weather is nice, but large groups will find it a bit tight.
One thing to keep in mind is that it can get pretty busy, and wait times can be long. I’ve seen people wait up to 15 minutes, which feels long considering you order at the counter and seat yourself.
The staff works hard, but even with five people behind the counter, they can struggle to keep up during rushes, so be prepared to be patient.
No need to tip since there’s no table service, and you handle cleanup yourself. Sandwiches can be pricey—some options go up to $11 just for one grilled cheese sandwich —but overall, it’s a fun place worth trying.
Favorites include the Mac & Cheese, Socra Cheese and the Messy Jesse.

I had the grilled cheese with gyro meat on it and it was sooooo good. I think for 9.75 it’s an ok price. The floor and tables were a little dirty (apple slice on the ground) but nothing major. I think they should sell fries here and this place would be amazing then. Id definitely go again.

I picked up a uber order here. I verbally repeated the name of the uber order twice, and he said it would just be a few minutes. I sat right in front of the employees waiting to pick it up, and could not see the names on the bags they were setting down. 15 minutes had passed when he finally approached me and asked for the name again. The order had been sitting right in front of both of us the entire time. I myself have worked many food service jobs so I completely understand that things happen sometimes. However, this cost me two tips as I had another offer waiting in the car to deliver. Ultimately, though this affected my paycheck directly, it indirectly reflects on the service at this establishment, not only to me but the person ordering the food. I am very disappointed by the service here and I will not be picking up deliveries for this location in the future. I hope that the owners can talk to their employees, as they were much more focused on flirting and gossiping than delivering good service.

Excellent little spot for a tasty classic!
Parking: If you don't mind a bit of a walk there's a parking garage nearby that has plenty of spots, but otherwise there's parking on the street which can be difficult in a busy downtown area.

Had a few people working but didn’t seem very smooth. A lot of side conversations going on amongst staff while we were being helped. A little on the pricey side

I had a delicious time :-).
I went on a solo mission to experience Naperville and this was the sunset cherry on top of a lovely summery day. Service was friendly and inviting and the food was even better. You can’t go wrong with a grilled cheese and that seems to be the mantra of the whole place: so many options, but whatever you end up getting will be delicious. In addition to my sandwich (the Greek-inspired socra-cheez), I loved the Tommy Mack (tomato soup + mac n cheese), and the menu has a delightful sense of humor. I can’t wait to be back and bring my friends next time!
