I have never had anything bad, or even mediocre here! Excellent eclairs, monstrous cruffins (my favorite) with generous fillings. Everything is beautiful, fresh, and most items can easily serve two people! No matter what, I always get a cherry bar- perfect combination of tart and rich, especially when it’s cold and right out of the display case.

Absolutely amazing! Someone flaked on me last minute and I had no birthday cake for my son, Fiene's saved the day. On top of the excellent customer service, the cake was delicious!

I was a guest at someone’s house party and that is where I experienced a most delicious white coconut cake. The frosting and filling were perfection, sweet but not overly, the cake itself was moist. I don’t live near this bakery and while there are many fine bakeries closer to my home on the far north side of Chicago, I think I will nonetheless make a trip (1 hour drive) to get a cake from Filene’s for my next special occasion event.
Nice local bakery with terrific donuts and confectioneries with very friendly owners and staff. I would highly recommend a visit just for their donuts!
