GIA MIA Naperville Reviews
It’s a nice place to eat. Unfortunately there was a party of 10 celebrating a birthday. They was very loud and obnoxious. Couldn’t really enjoy the atmosphere. Staff didn’t tell them to lower their voices. Maybe they need a special room away from the front so that other paying customers can enjoy their meals and conversations.
Delicious food and awesome service!
Somewhat diisappointed. Server was excellent! The honey comb ricotta - just ok. I expected the farm salad to be unique but hardly any lettuce of any kind on the plate. It seemed as if pickled veggies were the star of the salad. It didn’t taste homede . It tasted like it came out of a jar. Dinner entree and salad all came at once. What is that about? Waitress was wonderful and apologized. However, they have what appears to be bus servers bring the food out to the tables...read full review

GIA MIA in Naperville features a beautiful setup and a pleasant atmosphere, with attractive decorations and attentive service. The manager checks on every table, and the server is friendly and helpful. The sangria is delicious, and the zucchini fries come highly recommended. They offer a half-price pizza special on Mondays, with wood oven-baked pizza that is considered one of the best in the area. Parking can be inconvenient due to construction, but there are free parking garages nearby that require a short walk.
On a Thursday evening, some visitors experienced a long wait for their drinks, and some dishes fell short. The ricotta+honeycomb was described as plain, and the short rib gnocchi had overcooked and mushy gnocchi, although the rib meat was good. However, other customers have enjoyed the flavors and drinks at GIA MIA. The staff and food are generally appreciated, though the hostess was noted to focus more on familiar faces. Despite minor issues, the restaurant remains a good choice for celebrations or a nice date night.
Recent reviews mention that it’s a nice place to eat, but a loud birthday party made it hard to enjoy the atmosphere, as staff did not ask them to lower their voices. Overall, the food is decent, with pizza being the highlight and the most reasonably priced option for the quantity of food. Some wished for balsamic dressing on the burrata appetizer to enhance the flavor. Customers advise making reservations beforehand because the place is often busy. They also suggest avoiding the back corner seats, as service there can be less friendly and it may take away from the overall experience.
