Absolutely terrible service and boba. My brown sugar milk tea was watery and barely had any flavor. The team refused to remake it and gave me a number to call their manager. There were 5 people behind the counter and none of them actually helped customers.

The earl grey milk tea with 3Js IS DELICOUS!!!! The caramel milk tea is good too. Prices aren’t too bad. Easy to order

A lot of lazy workers and also I saw that a lot of people used the kiosk and after staring at the tablet for so long they just up and left due to one prize was super high.

I find it weird that none of the staff even greeted any of the customers.

Literally over 70% of the menu items weren't available.
Not the seasonal pumpkin spice, not any of the fancy drinks, and less than half of the milk teas.

Nothing special. You have to order your drink via the kiosk. As a classic milk tea lover this was disappointing. Milk tea was lacking flavor almost watered down and it tasted like they put some kind of syrup for the sweetener. Kind of like liquid stevia or something. Boba was tiny and no flavor it wasn’t dipped in any honey or brown sugar. It was also kind of hard. My mom’s matcha was severely sweet she couldn’t even finish it. The matcha was also chunky somehow. I’m assuming they didn’t mix the matcha very well and it chunked up together. My sisters brown sugar milk tea was lacking creaminess. Just get a canned milk tea fork the hmart it’ll be just the same.

You want more specific? I wrote a complaint and all I got back was "Oops, we'll do better next time, but it's ok cause we can still take your money and do it wrong again!" I've made complaints on your website several times with the same response. This company doesn't care to make amends for it's mistakes, only "do better next time" which from the reviews, doesn't look like that happens either.

I’ve been to 5 boba shops in the Naperville area and this was the first one that was good AT ALL. They don’t have the best variety, but they have enough and some creative drinks. As for atmosphere and service? Prices were fair. It’s in an h mart so it’s about what you’d expect. Grocery store vibes

Edit: In response to the comment from the owners: thank you for your response. While I understand there was no “visible signs to order”, as I was standing there at the front kiosk, there was no greeting, no acknowledgement. This is what I’m stating. Felt as if I was bothering them in order to PLACE my order in the first place. The drink was okay, but the fact that I felt unwelcomed is what is bothersome. Maybe this was one instance. I hope other patrons do not experience what I had :/ but by the looks of other Google reviews, it’s seems like service may be a repeat offense. I had to take this place down a notch. There’s plenty of other bubble tea and waffle places fortunately, and I do like Gongacha’s selection, so maybe it’s just this location. The staff probably just needs a disciplinary training cause I’m sure they get annoyed and overwhelmed by the amount of people since it is in a food court.

Original: So, while there are signs notably stating cannot order on the kiosk, as a customer I was left confused because the girls that were there at the time didn’t greet, didn’t acknowledge, didn’t assume that I wanted to order. So I only asked if I was supposed to order at the kiosk just so I can get the attention of the service workers.

A simple, “Hi, let me know when you’re ready to order” would have sufficed. The service was definitely not there, I wasn’t even sure if the girls were on the clock. Felt guilty trying to order.

One girl was out on the counter trying to take promo pictures.

I just went to this location. I have been following on social media for a few years and was so excited to get to come here. I wait in line and none of the three employees greet or say anything to me. I wait a few minutes. None of them approach or even make eye contact. Eventually another customer came and let me know you can order on the tablet. I wanted to speak to the staff for their opinions on the menu but they never helped me out so I just decide to visit another bubble tea. Horrible experience

It was HORRIBLE. The machine that puts the plastic cover on the cups dripped BURNED PLASTIC into the drinks. There was a hint of something burnt when I took the first sip… after examining my son’s strawberry drink we found the burnt bits. We threw them out and haven’t been since.
