Gumii is hands-down our absolute favorite dinner spot in Naperville! My fiancé and I come here all the time, and every single visit is perfect. The food is always on point, consistent, and so delicious. The owners are some of the kindest, most welcoming people you’ll ever meet, and the staff is just as sweet. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, with calming music and a spotless, inviting space. It feels like you’re being welcomed into a friend’s home every time you walk in!
I recommend Gumii to everyone I know who’s looking for a place with incredible food, a cozy vibe, and people who truly care about their guests.

This is the cutest little restaurant. It was calm and quiet and the server was very friendly. Food felt clean and the portion sizes are not overwhelming. If you’re looking for a quaint place to grab some lunch or get together with a friend, this is the place to check out. Everything I tried was delicious and perfectly seasoned. We’ve been here multiple times for takeout and each time it’s great. However, yesterday I made a special birthday trip out here to bring back a bulgogi bibimbap (for my wife) and tofu bibimbap (for me), along with scallion pancakes.
The bulgogi bowl had such a tiny amount of beef - maybe a tablespoon. My wife was so disappointed. The tofu was excellent as usual, as were the scallion pancakes, but the whole meal was ruined because my wife was looking forward to the bulgogi. We’ve had it before and this hasn’t been a problem, but there was a laughably small amount of meat this time. It’s a 30 min drive there, so I wasn’t going to go back and complain.
It feels rotten to pay good money for a special meal and have it be ruined. Maybe it was not their intention, but they were either careless or deliberately underserved - either way, we will probably never go back unless they can explain the mistake.

Came here on a mini vacation I had and was very happy with the meal we had. The japchae was my favorite dish, so so good! Also got the scallion pancakes which I highly recommend and bibimbap

Scrumptious food!!! and very good service! I’ve had rice cakes at plenty of other places, but nothing compares to this one. Perfect amount of spice and flavor. The texture too! Wow. The Kimbap is fresh and literally perfect. I loved everything I’ve tried from their menu so far. The cozy atmosphere makes each visit special and every meal feels like a treat. I tried Gumii when I was in the area randomly, and now I do a 45-minute drive just to eat from here. Also, Aia who works here is so sweet??
