Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

I'd suggest you spend your money elsewhere. I don't mind a costly meal when I feel like it was somewhat worth the cost. That was not our experience. We paid for the $58 per person menu that is supposed to be unlimited - it might be unlimited if you can get an order in. Our first course came out without a hitch - quick and hot. Our initial order of meat came pretty quickly also. That's when it all goes downhill - good luck ordering more. Our waiter was nice and kept apologizing the kitchen was behind but we didn't see much of him. Our glasses sat empty and were only refilled 1x over the course of 2 hours. Just overall, not what I expected and I wouldn't pay for this meal again.

Brought my husband for dinner for his birthday !! Not only did the young man who served us give us great service but he was also very attentive! He also suggested we try the pot sticker things with the one sauce at our table and it was a 10/10 !!! Over all experience 10/10 Food 10/10 We will be back !!!

The food was delicious, the Japanese BBQ experience was so much fun, and the service was excellent. Definitely coming back!!!

All you can eat was a great idea while catching up with a friend for longer dinner. But I would go back to try their other dishes! Large selection of quality meats, veggies and appetizers. Staff was helpful with recommendations. Enjoyed all of their sauces.

I personally love this place. I've been here about 10 times. Food is great. Service is good and I have been to a lot of Korean style barbecue places but this one is for the best in Chicago area. (Even though this one is considered Japanese).

Everything is super salty . Not impressed

I love gyu kaku and think the food is awesome. I have visited multiple locations before and this one multiple times as well and I have had a problem every single time I've visited this location. The servers are all very nice but I always order a course and something is missing every single time, last time I had to ask for over 7 items missing (and I had to ask multiple times). A different time the manager ended up helping us because a server hadn't come over to us in over an hour and we were missing items (by the way the manager is AMAZING! So nice and always coming around to check on everyone). So I love this place and the food is awesome but just wish the service was better.

Pretty small Japanese bbq restaurant that offers great selection of menus: lunch, drink, dinner, specials, etc.

We chose the lunch menu with upgraded meats.
So delicious and tender!

Gyu- Kaku Cold Sake is a must try. The unfiltered sake had Milky taste with hints of sweetness.

Outstanding service. Anna was very polite and helped with menu selections.

It's always a great experience at Gyu-kaku. It's one of my favorite places. The service was great. Our waiter, Niko, and Rob were excellent.

On 08/17/025 we were attended by a very rude server named Samuel H. Asian looking, he was rude and would roll his eyes constantly, we were celebrating our nieces bday. We love Gyu Kaku, we been to the coming for years to different locations and we always tip well and try to be the easiest. I hope he sees this and changes his horrible attitude

Great first experience here. Lots of good options even at the basic tier of meats.

Server was very attentive, friendly, and explained the cooking and ordering process. Advised us on how to safely use the grill.

Guy-Kaku is always a good time but this time was made special by our superstar server Don. We really appreciated the level of service and professionalism. Definitely a stand out location in downtown Naperville.
