Came here for lunch. Food was honestly average, but service was no doibt fast.
My review is really for the masala chai and coffee which are pretty basic menu items and probably one of the worst I have ever had. Not sure if it was old and reheated but couldnt have more than a sip. Better places in Naperville

Food is good, service is average, a bit costly for what you are being served.

This is an honest review for my 'not so HONEST' experience. I don't expect the restaurant management to bother with this review, presuming they would have done so having a 3.9 average rating over 1000+ reviews. I gave a fourth try while keeping an open mind. All reviews that I read here line up with my experience. I couldn't have agreed more with someone who wrote about the ridiculousness of this restaurant's operations. Customers have to pay upfront for the food before being served, that too in disposable serveware. I requested for a proper spoon, but they declined. Totally disinterested and maybe take customers for granted (I can't think of any other reason).
This time the dosa came with stale chutney that had gone bad. I said nothing after the 'spoon' experience but mentioned politely and that they should not serve it to any more people that day. All I got was a lame facial expression from a bored employee who promptly turned around to mention what I said to another employee who was inquiring about our conversation which by the way was still going on.
What kind of a restaurant expects you to tip at the cash register while ordering food? How would I know what their service is gonna be ? Duh!!! But one feels forced and obligated to add a tip when the tipping screen is shoved at you. It is more efficient and economical while saving man-hours to make the customer pay, serve in disposables, have them pick up the food from the counter and then clear the table and dump the waste and stack the trays. No complaints about the process as such but then why am I paying sit down restaurant prices?
Like I said, they take their customers for granted. They know their clientele: tolerant Southeast Asian customers with 6 digit income who live in the 11th wealthiest city in the country.
'Atithi devo bhava' and in this case paying atithi-es, but why bother business is good. 1 * rating
because the person I was with had a better experience.
We got seated right away and the restaurant is very clean Service was fast and attentive. Food was also fresh, we came for the unlimited dosa night and everything was delicious. We will definitely be coming back!

I was disappointed with the service I received from one of your older male servers. The server was constantly staring at my table, which made the experience very awkward and uncomfortable. Furthermore, he brought the portable POS machine for payment without being asked while I was in the middle of eating, which I found to be disrespectful and unprofessional. I recommend that this server receives training on proper customer service etiquette.
Additionally, I felt that the quality and quantity of the food did not justify the price. For example, paying $13–$14 for chole bhature that included only one bhatura was unacceptable.
I hope you will take this feedback into consideration.

They didn’t even offer us water or a glass, was a long wait even though was empty. Waiter didn’t know what comes in the menu.
The old guy was so rude not even said a thank you at end instead I said thank U. The service was worst and the old guy was active sososo arrogant and staring everytime which felt us so embarrassed to enjoy the food.
We wanted to order dosa and sweet items but the old guy bought the bill without even asking and we left by paying.
There was no peace while eating and awkward moment.
Will never come to this place again.
Thank you for the worst experience 🙏

This location felt far from Honest. The food was not fresh and had no taste at all. We tried the Dosa, Punjabi Thali, Masala Pav and the Ferrero Rocher shake and all were disappointing and tasteless. Compared to the Schaumburg branch, this place feels almost DISHONEST to the HONEST name. The quality, freshness, and flavor were nothing like what we are used to or like any other Honest location we have tried.

Restaurantji Recommends
I had a very disappointing experience here. The chaas, bhaji pav, bhakhri pizza, vegetable sandwich, and dal tadka were all stale and poorly prepared. Nothing tasted fresh. The dal tadka especially had a bad, old taste, and the bhaji pav felt like it had been sitting for a long time. Even the sandwich and bhakhri pizza lacked freshness and proper flavor.
For the prices they charge, I expected good quality, but this meal was honestly not good at all. I won’t be returning.
Great Service, great food!

Dont waste your time coming to this place, waited an hour to get asked for the order and again after another 45 minutes the person taking orders comes and ask’s are you waiting for something. Most irresponsible staff.

This place is the CLOSEST I have had to Indian street food. It offers great variety and the food tastes just like home. In my opinion, they make Indo-Chinese and North Indian food better. Some recommendations are Hakka noodles, chole bhature, manchurian, and masala dosa. The staff was nice and respectful. The food might be a little delayed if there is a crowd.
