Suspect poor food hygiene, Suffered food poisoning twice in the last 4 years after consuming food from this place

So I have gone to Honest Pav bhaji in multiple places and multiple cities. This one is by far the WORST Honest ever. Not just once or twice but I have had bad experiences 3 times.
1st was when I ordered a catering order of half tray tava pulav and the rice was partially uncooked. I literally had to return them rice and they helped me with refund. I thought it was a one of experience and let it go. Another time I took some of my friends visiting Chicago and their service was horrible.. Pav bhaji was okay to be fair with them. Yesterday we ordered 6 paav bhaji to go from their kiosk, and they gave only 5 of them. We realized that only when we reached home. We tried to call them multiple times and they didn’t answer back. We went back to the hotel and their service was so lame. Pathetic service and no remorse on being so pathetic. I won’t be going back here again. DO NOT GO HERE if you don’t want to waste your time and money. Looks like these people don’t want to improve inspite of so many complaints. Always understaffed. No body from the staff cares about anything. Very pathetic and unprofessional and DISHONEST service from the “HONEST” brand.

Absolutely careless staff, not organized at all, mess all around. Nobody answers incoming guests, no clear answers on follow up.

I will not this visit this place again, this place is waste of time.

If you’re looking for authentic Indian vegetarian and Jain food, Honest is a must-visit! The taste reminds me of real Indian street food – pav bhaji, spring dosa, and pani puri are all top-notch. They have plenty of Jain-friendly options too (no onion, no garlic), which is great for people with dietary restrictions. Service can be a little slow during peak hours, but the food quality makes up for it. Highly recommend for a satisfying, pure vegetarian meal!

The taste and quantity of the food was very poor. I have been to many Honest across the USA but never had such bad experience.
We ordered-
Chole Bhature- 1 bhatura served, not worth the price
Bahubali Sandwich - bread size small, less cheese, not at worth playing 15.99
Hakka Noodles - tasteless
Punjabi thali/ Shahi Thali - no taste in curries served

We really like the food but 30 mins wait for 4 rotis or sugarcane juice? Not acceptable especially when the staff is standing around chatting. Service is going down every time we order from here.

Yesterday I had been to Honest Naperville. Experience is not good. Quality and test of food was not good compared to Honest NJ and many places in Gujarat

Last Wednesday 9th , I did visit their Naperville restaurant. When I said I want to order, they asked me to use the kiosk, even though there were 3 staff (2 men and a woman) in the lobby area simply chitchatting, hardly anyone dining in. After placing the order, I did a quick grocery run. When I came back the staff told me that they don’t have samosas in stock which is quite natural for any restaurant. I asked him to cancel the order and return the money to the card. After a week, I called them yesterday as money is not reversed. They picked the call after several tries. He said it’s already reversed which is not true. He also said he will talk to the owner and call me back in 10 minutes, which never happened. Today I disputed the transaction through my bank.

The restaurant has good food, but absolutely pathetic customer service.
Honest is just in the name, not in action.

Ordered twice for the dinner same day that included 3 items. First time, the order was completely incorrect and they sent only one item which we didn’t even order. Second time after a few minutes, placed the same order but only again only one item was delivered whereas three were ordered and paid for. No communication from the restaurant about this. Tried to call the restaurant multiple times but no one picked it up. Finally, I had to call the uber eats to refund but we missed our dinner because of this behavior from the restaurant. We were charged for 3 meals that we ordered TWICE. I don’t think that we would order again and we would recommend anyone known to do the same.
