Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House

Had bisque and chowder, both bad. Too thick and very little seafood. Also had salads, chopped and beet. Pretty much tasteless and overpriced. Drinks and service good.

Love Hugo's, very lackluster service this time. Waitress was difficult to understand, cleared cocktail glasses without asking if refill needed. We had to flag her down. Possibly understaffed? Not sure if she forgot to put app order in, but seafood tower took 40/45 minutes to arrive after ordering. They weren't that busy, but full. Unfortunately not the experience I am used to.

Crusted Seabass meal was delicious And Cheesecake and Mango sherbet excellent. Excellent service.

Joshua, was very friendly and attentive. We celebrated our anniversary and even gave us a complimentary yummy pumpkin cheesecake. We had escargot as appetizer and steak. Cooked to perfection and sea bass We will be back

Good food. Good service . The tables are super crowded together. With people so close together, it was very loud, difficult to hear one another.

Awesome place. The staff are exceptional.

Only complaint is that they need to bring back the Cobb salad during lunch.

Service is always outstanding with consistent care and attention from the GM. Steaks are great and the Brussels Sprouts side with the maple bourbon butter and bacon is always a highlight. Last night I had the Cream of Mushroom Soup, Whitefish with Mashed Potatoes and it was all outstanding.

We stopped in just before the kitchen closed on the Saturday night. We shared frogs legs, a poke bowl and bang bang shrimp. The food was all good especially the frog legs. I had a perfect Manhattan and the guys with me both had dirty vodka martinis. The drinks were well made and quite large. The quality of the blue cheese stuffed olives was a standout. Our server Michelle was attentive and cheerful. The people sitting around us were friendly and there was pleasant chit chat between tables. The guy standing behind the host's desk when we came was inhospitable but other than that we had a very pleasant experience.

We went for my wife's birthday which was noted in the reservation. My wife ordered a salad and I a bowl of clam chowder and 2 glasses of wine. Also had spit a crab cake. After finishing the crab cake had to wait for the server — he showed up with our check. We had to laugh and said, umm, we haven't ordered our main main course yet. He took it and then it was a long wait for it to show up. And not a Happy Birthday wish!

Wonderful dinner. We had crab cakes entree and the sirloin steak and they were delicious. The clam chowder was perfect as well

I had the Filet, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Everything was fantastic. The waitress was attentive but not intrusive to our dinner.

We come to this restaurant every year for special occasions. The crab cake is absolutely the best - full of meat and unmatched anywhere else. I usually order the crab cake, oysters, and firecracker shrimp; my husband goes for the wedge salad and a main (this time the fish and chips, which were tasty), so that was excellent as always!
The new calamari, however, wasn’t a hit , we really didn’t enjoy the sauce, it didn’t pair well and overall was so so. Service was a bit slow at times, and our Google reservation wasn’t found at the host stand, though luckily it was just a Wednesday.
Still, everything else was great, and we had a lovely evening overall.
