Loved their Yangzhou vegetarian fried rice. We also ordered regular Yangzhou fried rice with meat. It does not have soy sauce in it so it doesn't look brown like some of the other restaurants that we normally order food from.

FOOD POISONING

Be careful. We went to this restaurant last night and both my wife and myself had food poisoning symptoms in the morning.

This place is kind of in a unassuming strip mall next to Wendy's, so I originally didn't have high hopes. But I can say this place is truly a hidden gem. I had the 3 cup chicken, which was out of this world amazing. I highly recommend giving this place a try of you are on the fence. You will not be disappointed.

Just like majority of all other Chinese restaurants, their staffs are not so friendly, but their dishes are so good from soup to the main dishes.

As their name suggests, their Mapo Tofu is extremely delicious.
No doubt it can be within Top 5 of my hundreds of Mapo Tofu experience worldwide.

Many great dishes, but my favourites are - Hot & Sour Soup, Mapo Tofu, Shredded Pork with Bamboo Shoots.

They are not so friendly, but they akways gladly accept my request to add shredded green pepper to the pork which makes it taste even better.

If you like Chinese food, you deffinitely should try this place.

Will be coming back. Friendly staff. Trope tasted authentic. Mongolian beef is a must try. Did not enjoy the Kung pow chicken however menus huge and I’m sure there’s plenty of great things.

This was an interesting experience to say the least. The service was good; they were attentive for when I placed an order, and brought more napkins/water when they observed I was running low.

I ordered the scallion pancake and the spicy beef noodle soup. The pancake was a little oily, but cooked well and seasoned appropriately. The beef noodle soup was disappointing. The beef was cooked well, but it was cut unevenly and there wasn't much of it. There were 3 full stalks of bok choy in the soup and no way to cut it. The broth tasted like water and chili oil, and it was EXTREMELY oily. The big pieces of beef and bok choy caused the broth to splash constantly, and the oil stained everything including their table cloth. After eating all the beef pieces I couldn't finish it. The fortune cookie at the end of the meal was stale too.

The atmosphere was odd; they had a large dining table being used to prep vegetables between 4-5PM which leads me to believe they don't typically have customers dine-in.

There are other Chinese restaurants available locally that I will likely choose next time.

Food is very good here and Mapo is a favorite. However tonight had beer-brisket, and included a large chunk of raw ginger which was only thing I could taste for rest of my meal…not a good thing.

The best Szechuan style Chinese food in the Chicago area and surrounding suburbs. If you love tasty and spicy food with good portion at reasonable price, this is the place. Their Dried Chili Chicken is perfect, and their Mapo Tofu is simply delicious.
