Greek gyros (or so I've been told) are usually made with whole pieces of thinly-sliced marinated pork skewered in a large stack on the rotisserie before being cooked and shaved, Greek-American gyros are made with a large, sausage-like cone of seasoned minced lamb and beef. Maria's gyros are definitely not Greek-American, but maybe not exactly Greek. There's no pork, no lamb anywhere to be seen. Our beef gyros weren't marinated in anything, were dry and lacked much of any seasoning, very little tzatziki. There was nothing wrong with anything in and of itself, except for the fact that my wife and I couldn't eat it. So, should I leave a review or not? Everyone else seems to love this place, but I finally decided it would be a service to those considering Maria's, to be aware that your Maria's gyro isn't going to be the sloppy, tzatziki drenched Chicago gyro seething with rich aroma you may be accustomed to. The kind of gyro we were yearning for, so it was a rather expensive disappointment. It's all a matter of taste I suppose. The staff are quite friendly, the place is spotless.

Absolutely delicious food! The homade tzatziki sauce was to die for! You have to have the honey mustard with your fries. Very warm and welcoming restaurant, the owners are delightful and so hard working! True authentic Greek food!

Service was so good, went there to open fast for Ramadan and they really took care of us. Even gave us all complimentary Baklava for desert. Food was so fresh and great portions. Super nice and clean restaurant and staff!

I don’t leave reviews, infact this is my first one, but the food was amazing, the service was amazing. they were extremely nice & helpful. they brought the food out fast, and it was extremely delicious. they knew we were fasting for ramadan and were very accommodating. they even gave us free baklava! 100% would recommend.
