Lauded steak house missed its mark for me. Service was poor. Seated right away with reservations with drink menu. Server went thru spiel with hard sell. Drinks and appetizers pushed several times. Server disappeared. Hard to ask manager to send over. Had to request menu. Salads not consistent in garnish. Dressing in chopped not evenly coated, dry on top, soaked on bottom. Table bread delicious, refill not offered. Server not educated in type of beef. Temp in meat not as requested. Dessert ok. IMO not worth the $$$

Overall, this was a decent steakhouse. My husband and I came here on the last day of restaurant week this year, as we love trying different steakhouses. The service was great and our server was attentive despite the busy dinner rush we had entered. The food was decent. For our starter, I got the SRF Wagyu Meatball with Whipped Ricotta and Basil Pesto which was very good. My husband got the lobster bisque which was a bit cold when we got it. For our entree, my husband got the center- cut filet mignon and I got the Double Cut Prime Pork Chop. Again, my dish tasted more on point than his. Both of our desserts hit the spot though! We got the hot chocolate cake and the hazelnut chocolate mousse! Overall, there were some slight misses but definitely a lot of hits!

I thought the service was good but not exceptional. The food was my main issue. I ordered the meatballs, Cesar salad, French onion soup, and a dry aged ribeye Oscar style. The meatballs were by far the best thing I ate all night. My steak was poorly prepared and extremely tough to the point where I didn’t even finish it. I can say that for myself I would not go back.

A lovely place to have a delicious meal in a quiet and engaging atmosphere that needs to turn down the AC. Good place to meet with clients or celebrate a birthday if you wear a sweater. I have had good servers and not so good servers. I have had multiple people with me say that they don't feel the servers are friendly, feeling they are not treated well by management. That was the unprompted conclusion by two different people I have taken to Morton's. It is also very cold... Wear a jacket! But the food is worth the angst of the staff and the fridge temps. My favorite dish is the Miso Whitefish, which warms you up. :-)

Let me say from the outset that service here is excellent and the waitstaff aims to please, no complaints there. This saddens me to only give three stars, and it's for the food, drinks and wine!! While the meal was good it didn't live up to memorable nor the price. Most things came close but just missed hitting it outta the park. For starters I got an $18 Martini Royale (reminiscent of the Vesper) that was 2/3rds of the glass, it tasted great but most of the time we worry about spilling it when we take our first sip! I accepted their offer of bread but was gobsmacked when a ginormous everyday onion roll showed up! I'd expected crusty French bread or something more interesting... and it was doughy stick to the roof of your mouth bread. I tried the crab cake appetizer and the duo of mini crab cakes was good but they were accompanied by a small arugula and purple onion mix that was way too heavy on the onion that was fighting with the crab. The crab cakes were very good but lacked sufficient binder that made them fragile and fork difficult. On to our main course! Mortons is a true steak house with an à la carte menu for EVERYTHING! Even the steak sauce is extra... just raise the price of the steak and offer options on sauces. I ordered the dry aged rib eye, jumbo roasted asparagus and lyonnaise potatoes. I think the sides were okay but lyonnaise potatoes were cut a bit thick I thought but good and the asparagus was generous. That rib eye was the big disappointment. Although it came perfectly medium rare it had too much connective tissue, seemed to be in almost every cut as I cut and cut! The fat cap I expect on a rib eye but not that much connective tissue. I was asked by everyone how I enjoyed my meal and honestly it was okay but a meal can go further downhill if you start complaining to the staff and you're only on your cocktail or in the middle of an appetizer hoping the entree makes up for things... so I didn't bring my concerns to the manager or waitstaff. It just sometimes means they snatch the plate, you wait while they cook it again, lose your appetite and the rhythm is lost. It's not that I won't come back to Morton's I would stick to the NY strip, filet or pork chop, pass on martini's and bread. Better yet have the bar bites and call it a day. They can do better!

The Naperville location tastes better than the one in downtown Chicago. Service is always fantastic! My go-to's are the lobster ravioli, the 8 oz filet mignon, and the chocolate lava cake!

The ambiance was beautiful. The attentiveness of the staff 0. The waitress was terrible not attentive at all. Took our drink orders then waited another 30 minutes for our orders to be taken. By the time the orders were taken we waited another 40 minutes for the food. Now I’ve worked in a Hotel for 13 years and we had a great restaurant Cafe Des Architects. I know all about customer service and the service of how you should be attended to in a restaurant. She was not attentive didn’t come ask us any questions. Asked for condiments never got them. I’m not sure if it’s because we are African American and was stereotyped that we weren’t really waited on and because of the automatic gratuity that she felt that she didn’t have to do a good job and give us sub par service. The salmon I had was okay so I can’t really complain this is a steak house so the specialty is steak. Would I come here again. No. Would I recommend this to anyone yes. One person doesn’t make a restaurant. She was terrible.

They don’t enforce the dress code at all. Spent $350 on dinner with my wife and we are surrounded by couples wearing jeans and tshirts playing on their phones thru the meal and acting like they are at Chili’s.Lower the cost or hold guests to a higher standard. This is ridiculous.Parking: Pop for valet or you’ll be walking a far distance on a weekend evening.

The worst lobster tail I have ever been served. The entire tail was mushy. That's really just unacceptable at a restaurant like Morton's, particularly at those prices. The steak and the service were both very good.

I wanted to really like Morton’s. I used to love the one in Westchester. The floor manager worked the room like Tony Bennet, very congenial and helpful. The seating was just what we asked for, behind the bar in a nice booth on a Friday night.Ambiance is extremely well done and low sound in a crowded room. The wines were tasty. The two service people were excellent although all seemed quite stressed. The staff seemed very rushed.Onion soup could use more onions, three small scallops with bacon for 27$ seemed over priced. My NY Strip came not medium or medium rare but pretty much cooked thru. The server saw I was not eating it and said he would replace it. I said no but they insisted.Nice touch.Sadly, the 2 nd steak was also nicely charred but not medium. I just took it home for sandwiches. My wife’s filet with crab was very good.I just think if steak is your business, cooking them right is a job one.We tried it , it was good, but ……steak very disappointing.
