My Chef is worth well above the price, and they're already so affordable. By far the most transparent of the catering companies we reached out to, and they were able to accommodate multiple requests including outside cake vendors, working with venue's strict recycling policy, serving a champagne toast + a nonalcoholic version.
Everyone wants great wedding food, and we were hoping for guests to be happy with My Chef. They blew it out of the park. We had so many guests talk about loving their food (100% get the Eggplant Parmigiana Napolean, it was amazing and our guests are still raving about it), but they continued to talk about even the focaccia bread served with dinner. Also a big shoutout to their desserts, our guests loved them, especially the key lime tartlets.
Working with their bartenders was super easy! We had brought in alcohol from an external vendor and they took care of absolutely everything.
The whole team was super professional and kind. Special shoutout to Jamie and Mary for their excellent coordination. Looking forward to hiring you for dinners in the future!

Alex and My Chef Catering truly helped turn the Celebration of Life repass for my Mom into a lovely event . Not only did Alex help select the perfect menu to show tribute to Moms homestyle Italian cooking. But he suggested the quantity needed to make sure we would have enough to serve everyone; and we did! The food was fantastic, those in attendance are still commenting about how good everything tasted! I don't often offer reviews. However, I so appreciate Alex's attention to detail, making sure I did not have to worry about the meal at all during this emotionally challenging day. I see why My Chef was on our preferred vendor list. The food was so delicious! We were immediately impressed with their tasting menu, trying everything made it so hard to narrow things down because all dishes were delicious. We are so happy with our choices. Jamie was an absolute delight to work with. She is so kind and professional, she also was able to accommodate different guests dietary restrictions so everyone had a great meal. The communication and confirmation of everything went so well. We appreciate the patience with finalizing things, and the final call had us reassured everything was all set. Her entire staff was great! Our guests enjoyed the food and were happy to take some desserts to go. I cannot recommend enough!

Could not have nicer things to say about working with My Chef and Jamie Walsh for our wedding day catering. We met Jamie at our venue's vendor expo and were immediately impressed by their services, pricing, and vast food offerings. It was a no brainer to book with their group!
We had our tasting a couple months before our wedding day; which is complimentary to the couple and a $50 charge for any additional guest to join. They have you select 8-10 appetizers, 2 salads, and 4 entrees to taste at their Naperville location. They also have displays of china, silverware, glasses and more to help couples select what aligns aesthetically for their special day. Jamie worked with us to make small modifications to their standard offerings to make the food exactly what we wanted!
Our wedding day came and we were floored by the quality/presentation of food, level of detail in place settings, and service from all staff members. We had multiple guests say that this was some of the best wedding food they've had, steaks were not over cooked, and food tasted fresh. Jamie also let us add desserts a week out to reallocate money from a couple of guests who last minute were unable to attend. Their team was even nice enough to service items not purchased through their group: disposables for the late night snack, display and refilling of cupcakes, etc.
Overall, their group went above and beyond for us under Jamie's leadership. Our tables looked great, our food was wonderful, and their team was fabulous. We truly appreciate all they've done for us and could not recommend them more!

We used My Chef Catering for our January 2025 wedding and were blown away. Jamie was extremely professional throughout the entire process, and their team took such great care of us on the actual day. I still can't stop thinking about the food, especially the cocktail hour appetizers (Those bacon-wrapped dates were the BEST.). Our guests also gave us a ton of positive feedback.

From the initial consultation to the tasting to the wedding day, everything went so smoothly. We brought our own appetizers and cake and My Chef was so kind enough to put out the appetizers during our ceremony and cut and serve the cake they didn't even provide! I would recommend My Chef catering to anyone!!

My Chef was perfect all around. The food was so amazing, I heard such great things about all who ate it. That is nothing compared to the staff though! The staff went above and beyond throughout the night. One server even heard my mom talking about our cake that we cut. She went and grabbed it to show the guests who she was talking about. It was so sweet and generous and just heartwarming. They saved us a whole plate of our hors d'oeuvres that we (the bride and groom) got to enjoy during dinner since we did not have a chance to grab a lot during cocktail hour. Again, the food was absolutely amazing but what really really dropped my jaw was the service and the extremely amazing people they have representing their company.

We used My Chef Catering for our Wedding this past October 2024. I have a mix review for the entire experience. The food was delicious and I had so many compliments from my guests. We did buffet style with the beef brisket and Whiskey Chicken. Everything was delicious! My poor experience was from our planning event coordinator which was very frustrating. Communication was very poor and I often wouldn't hear back for days or weeks at a time. Leading up to the event, I submitted all final information over a month in advance and things were not replied to, or finalized until days before the wedding. Many items were also incorrect in the contact and I would have to really comb through everything to make sure it was accurate. I often had to repeat things multiple times and re-explain until things were finally correct. It caused me a lot of extra stress not knowing things were finalized and having to wait a long time for everything to come together. However, the event coordinator I worked with through the process was not my day-of lead at the wedding. Natalie was our on-site coordinator and she was amazing! Everything day of the event went smoothly and I was extremely happy with everything Natalie did for us. Looking back, I wish I would have just asked to work with a different coordinator and this would have been a 5 star review. Amazing food, great day-of service, but very poor communication, and dis-organized planning leading up to the event.
