This was the blandest and most disgusting Chinese we have ever had. I’m pretty sure the lo Mein noodles were angel hair spaghetti and the chicken was solid white. No seasoning, flavor, or sauce. Was really disappointed, but based on other reviews, maybe this is how Chinese is in Illinois? Unsure. We aren’t from here.

When I used to live in the North burbs (Deerfield / Highland Park), there were these pick-up & go “americanized” chinese restaurants that had very good food, excellent quality, inexpensive yet the portions were exceptional. This place is very similar. There is no in-dining seating at most of these sites (a few exceptions), but this no-frills approach keeps the prices relatively low compared to dine-in eqivalents. However, there is no dim-sum, assorted dumplings nor any specials that are “extravagent” such as crispy Peking duck mu-shu style. But for what was ordered and the price point, its worth a visit.Ordered combo appetizer which came with a pork eggroll, 2 crab rangoon and 2 fried shrimp rings. Served hot and crispy, this was what was to be expected, and nice serving size.The chefs special pan fried noodles with combo chicken, beef, shrimp and vegetables was on-point. Again the pint serving, imo, is worth 4 meals (~4oz each). I have had many pan fried noodles over the decades and this was a very good version. The owners are friendly and deliver the food on-time. I was there 10 minutes prior to the promised time, which was delivered at exactly 10 minutes as I waited (I didnt mind the wait). It paid off as the food was still piping hot when I got it home.

Must have new cooks, foid was not enjoyable this time. Ordered general tsai chicken, friend chicken tasted old or refried or fried in old oil. Will test New Wok again in one month to see if the new cook has improved.

I have been getting food here for awhile now, and I have to say the chicken fried rice is one of the best options in my opinion. I travel alot and I enjoy a good meal of chicken fried rice, but I have yet to find a place that makes chicken fried rice as delicious as New Wok's.

Awesome food, staff, and service. Highly recommend. It's not a dine in restaurant. Order ahead.. some days it is 15-20 min, other days...sadly longer but worth the wait.Parking: The restaurant is in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking.
Been here seven times since moving, always priced affordably - get a lot of food for cheap. Food quality is always amazing, never a bad experience. Better than any of the other places around.11/10 will always be coming back
