Paik's Noodle Naperville

It was average. We had the Champong (spicy noodles) and Tang-soo-yook (korean/chinese sweet and sour pork).

Champong was below average. Broth was lacking the depth that I taste in most champong. The noodles were on point, though, and it was filled with good toppings. For me, however, broth makes 80% of champong.

Tang-soo-yook was average. It could have been crunchier on the outside - it lacked the second frying that is usually needed for korean fried dishes. Still, it wasn’t bad - just not great.

Friend had the jja-jang-myun and devoured the dish. Apparently super good. I know that in general Paik’s makes a mean jja-jang-myung (over the jjampong), and this place was no different.

So if you’re eating here, get the Jja-jang-myun!

I wish I could give zero stars.

Staff was rude and unprofessional. I asked for sauce on the side, and the employee looked annoyed and ignored my request. Later, they threw the food at my friend and almost caused a fight. Even the manager didn’t care.

The food was just as bad—no meat in the jjajangmyeon, and the rice was hard and tasted old.

I’ve been here about 10 times, but this was the last. Quality keeps getting worse. Don’t waste your time here.

This restaurant is located inside H-mart food court which we need to self-service except placing the order. So I did not rate any for Service. We ordered the Meat jjamppong (08) but we rarely finished the dish. Meat was overcooked, noodles were undercooked, jjamppong did not taste good. I did not think this dish worth the price that I paid. I won’t recommend it unless they revamp the dish.

Ordered jajang bob and found a steel-like string or wire from it. Not gonna come back again here. Poor hygiene management. Brought this to the checkout desk, and just said sorry… it’s not a hair… no refund or anything. This could be very dangerous too.

If you enjoyed a savory taste with the right amount of ingredients- you really have to try this place, it’s just a good hall inside Hmart, noisy and busy but the tasty dishes will make it worth it. Shrimp dish was a little pricey for the quantity but everything else was reasonably priced. My fav jajangmyeon place for sure! The tangsuyuk batter was so lite and chewy- so satisfying.

Great food, great service! Food is inspired by Chef Jong Won Paik which is a nice touch. I would recommend any of their noodles there but specifically the black bean noodle.

Every dish was great. I ate Chilli shrimp, jjamppong, sweet and sour pork, fried jjajanyeon. Especially the portion of the stir-fried jjajangmyeon was really big. And the whole food court was nice and clean. I will definitely come again.

I am not sure this place compliance with Paik's Noodle standard. The foods they served are not even close to the ones I normally expect from other Paik's Noodle. The menus seem quite different and the foods they served seem more greasier.

I and my friends ordered so much food and we finished all. It was so delicious omg. There were so many ppl at hmart food court this place will be my go to korean food place.
