I try many restaurants and I always look after flavors an ethnic and cultural backgrounds in the food.The food is not made to order some are microwave heated then serve. beans taste like of the can. Even the French fries where pre-heated in front of me.The mom and son seam to be the ones that run the place son seams to have some anger management an you can sure taste it on the food. There is nothing more tasting then food that's prepare from the heart.I asked for some side salsa and was told there is ketchup on the counter top we don't have spicy or other kind of sauce for your empanadas. Then later ones my food arrived they came with a side of Mayoketchup and a spicy sauce that could really had complimented my empanada making it a solid 10. Bad management makes this business leave me with a bitter taste not to come back ever.Peru is really rich on ethical foodThe most famous dish ceviche not serve an only made limited times.If you want preheated food definitely recommended.If you want food prepared well and to order go to a real restaurant.Sandwich seams to work for them as a fusion but not a authentic Peruvian restaurant.? Stopped in for a late lunch. I had the Chicharron sandwich with the salad on the side. The sandwich tasted great; very nice combo of flavors. The salad was a cold quinoa, white bean, and vegetables mix that was a great compliment. Plus it was way healthier than fries! Hot sauce and beef empanada was also delicious. I met the Chef/Owner and he was a nice dude!

This place is honestly the best. They deserve to flourish. Food is 10/10 have had almost every sandwich. My favorites are the Milanesa and the quinoa burger but all of them are great. They really have the best Peruvian food in Illinois.

I used to come to this place once a month , food was really good but the chef is not nice at all . He was screaming at my son because he was trying to touch something that i supposed he was not allowed and I totally understand but here are nicer ways to tell a kid not to do something even the chef’s mom told him to calm down . Food is good so if you are planning to go don’t bring kids .

It’s been awhile since I’ve been here but the food was always consistent. However, I did see that since covid they had to limit their menu. No problem they will make some of my favorites. Staff was nice and pleasant when I was there. Place was clean. They used to carry sweet plantains and aji de gallina (chicken stew in a sandwich). The aji de gallina was very savory. They still make chicharron, fried yuca, and peru poutine. Chicharron is braised then fried pig butt. It’s a very tasty sandwich and that parsley mayo just increases the flavor. Meat was very moist and tender. Fried yuca is a must get with your meal. I actually had peru poutine with adobo and that’s like a meal on its own. They do have plenty of parking. I’ll have to come back sometime. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The standout dish was undoubtedly the pork sandwich, incredibly delicious and perfectly flavored. The quinoa salad was a healthy and tasty complement, while the chicken fried rice was an unexpected surprise, adding a unique twist to the menu. The empanadas were notably flaky and flavorful. The only downside was the fries, which were somewhat mushy and lacked a crispy finish. Despite this, I wholeheartedly recommend Sangu CHE for its delicious food and welcoming service. I'm looking forward to returning, particularly to try their roasted chicken.YOU MUST GIVE THEM TRY!You won’t be sorry
