SixtyFour - Wine Bar & Kitchen

The concept is excellent!
We were seated quickly even though we didn’t book a reservation ahead on a Friday night. Was so fun to try the different wines and enjoy the ambiance this unique experience has to offer. The only downside, we ordered aoli fries immediately upon being seated and sampled multiple wines about an hour in and the fries still had not arrived. Disappointed we had to ask for them to go, they were boxed up for us and removed from the bill. Good fries for sure but would have been even better eating them on location.

Went to celebrate our friends 30th birthday and engagement. Maddie was wonderful. Very attentive and fun even though we accidentally tripped her with all of gifts we had.

I was in here a few weeks ago and had the unpleasant experience of watching one of their servers, an older bald man...I think his name was Ken, screaming at a young girl working the hostess stand. Something about confusion during the seating process and he got skipped. He screamed at her calling her incompetent, used profanity in front of the entire restaurant and treated her like she was less than human.

I thought, "Oh, this pathetic man is going to get fired for sure"....nope. Come to find out he is still there. What is wrong with management? Why would they keep someone who berates a co-worker like that and has no control over his temper or emotions? Mistakes happen, especially in a busy restaurant. It's bad enough this guy, who looks to be pushing 60, is bumbling around a restaurant making people feel uncomfortable, but to scream at a child, that's just too far.

I will not return to Sixty Four until they prove that they are a safe place for customers and staff and remove problem employees like Ken. If he could snap like that over such a minor thing, what would happen if he really got angry. Sixty Four is just not a safe place to be right now.

We are always treated so well here. If you have a love for wine, this is your place. The wine selection is constantly being updated, if you like what you drink, you can buy it and take it home with you. Food is always amazing and the charcuterie is incredible! The owner, management, staff, everyone are so hospitable and it's always an awesome experience in a beautiful location. When the weather is nice, sit out back along the Du Page River as it is quite lovely! Cheers and enjoy!

Nate is the best bartender I’ve ever encountered. He is so attentive and helpful. He made drinks for my friend and I that weren’t even on the menu just because of how much he enjoys them, and by memory of what they used to be made of on the menu! Truly impressive. You can tell he genuinely enjoys his job working in the service industry and he does an amazing job at it. If you come to this place, ASK FOR NATE OR NATHANIEL!! ❤️
