Traverso’s Restaurant – A Naperville Heartbeat Whenever Bruce and I walk through the door at Traverso’s, it’s like coming home to family. From the moment you arrive, the energy is warm, welcoming, and unmistakably local—a true neighborhood institution. Owners and brothers Paul Traverso and Mike Traverso have poured their hearts into this place since 1993. Their presence is felt in every hand-shaken introduction and every sincere “How’s everything tonight?” from the staff. There's genuine pride and care in how the restaurant is run, and it shows. The layout is perfect. The lounge/bar area buzzes with friendly chatter over cocktails, while the dining room remains cozy and intimate. It’s a thoughtful division—great for those who want to unwind at the bar, yet still prefer a quiet dinner elsewhere. The recent remodel enhanced that charm without losing the heart of the place. Now, the food—oh, the food. The grilled lemon chicken wings are a revelation: crisp, juicy, tangy, and always our order number one. But it's the pizza that holds a special place in our hearts. Imagine cracker-thin crust so light it melts on your tongue, topped with savory sausage and pepperoni in perfect harmony with the sauce—every bite unforgettable. Service is consistently on point. Every visit means attentive smiles, knowing nods, thoughtful refills, and food that arrives just when you're expecting it. It’s that comforting reliability that makes you feel cared for, always. This place isn’t just a restaurant—it’s ours. Whether for a casual Tuesday night or a family celebration in their elegant dining or event room, Traverso’s delivers excellence wrapped in familiarity. To everyone in Naperville: if you haven’t experienced the exceptional hospitality and authentic Italian fare here, you’re missing out on something special.
Shoutout to Traverso’s in Naperville for making our daughter’s graduation dinner last night so enjoyable. This tired mama is grateful for the awesome owner and fantastic servers who made the end of the day relaxing and yummy.
Absolutely loved our experience at Traverso’s! I hosted an event there with 20 guests, and everything was flawless from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating—they went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. I was especially impressed with their number system, which kept the service running smoothly and efficiently. It made everything feel so organized and stress-free. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Every guest raved about it. We truly enjoyed every second of our time there and are already looking forward to hosting another event at this wonderful venue. I would 100% recommend Traverso’s to anyone looking for a warm, well-run, and tasty place to celebrate.
A solid Italian restaurant with amazing service. Met one of the owners, he was a charming and genuinely made sure customers had a wonderful experience.

Our server, Char, was amazing! She was funny and attentive, but our main courses were lackluster. They were very expensive and didn't have much flavor. They did take my meal off of the bill and offered me cheesecake, which was good. I'm not sure I'd be back for dinner, but maybe appetizers and drinks!

Always good very thin pizza, but this time it was salty! I always get the wedge salad and the lettuce is always very crispy and cold! Very good service and opens at 4:00, so no lunch! The owner is present and very friendly and takes pride in his family restaurant! I like this restaurant and you will too!
Parking: It’s a very popular restaurant so many cars but never a problem finding parking!

The restaurant has a cozy, homely feel with lots of wood accents, warm yellow lighting, and a slightly darker ambiance that sets a nice mood. It’s family-friendly, with a welcoming staff and a menu packed with options, including pizza, a dedicated gluten-free menu, sandwiches, soups, salads, pasta, chicken, and seafood.
We tried the calamari and bruschetta for appetizers—both were good. The salads were large, as shown in the pictures, but the beef and vegetable soup was just okay. For mains, we had the chicken bow tie, baked penne, spaghetti Pomodoro, stuffed eggplant, and chicken piccata. Everything tasted good, with generous portions.
A bit on the expensive side at about $25 per dish on average.
One downside was the wait time—about 25 minutes for the food to arrive. Overall, it’s a nice spot for families, with a variety of tasty options, but expect a bit of a wait.
