Yamada Sushi & Poke

Very small servings. $90 of food to feed 2 people. Way better places- both in quality and price.

Perhaps just not a Sunday lunch place? The lunch menu seemed the way to go, but is only good on weekdays. There was nobody in the place when we stopped in for a quick lunch. We tried to order one of the lunch specials, missing the small type on the menu (completely our fault) stating that it's M-F for a couple hours around lunch time. Then my party of 3 orders a sushi boat. The boat comes with only one salad and one miso soup. Extremely odd for a party of 3... maybe that was also written in small type somewhere? I dunno. Then the boat came on a couple of larger plates. My son saw the wood boats up on a shelf... and that was part of the reason we ordered. So... while the sushi was pretty darn good, I can't recommend this place due to the overall lacking experience.

Solid D+ at best. Tasteless sushi - I wouldn’t say the place is filthy though wouldn’t say it’s clean from the dirty front door to the tired decor. Prices are super reasonable for small, low quality, devoid of taste rolls- if this is what you’re looking for then this is your place. Soup is served with plastic spoons and the requested fork was also plastic. Definitely won’t be back and don’t recommend.

Ordered three maki rolls for lunch. Came with salad or soup. Salad was good. Maki was ok. Not a lot of flavors. Will not be back.

I kinda consider myself a sushi connoisseur! This was my first time here and I just did take out lunch special sushi and it was AMAZING!! Most places one or 2 things is ok but yet all around never really hit the mark well this place is different! Quality ingredients and the chef properly using his amazing knife skills they really show off on the sashimi!! Somethings as simple as the spicy tuna roll and miso soup just done perfect!! Pot stickers and sauce to go with as well just spot on!! If you are in the are looking for your new go to sushi spot you just found it bc I know I did!!

The food is amazing here. The service is excellent and they make you feel at home. I’d recommend getting a salmon poke bowl, it comes with a miso soup for a very good price. Oh, the gyoza is excellent too!

Great food & amazing service! My coworkers go regularly for lunch & I joined them for the first time last week. Went again today with my family & the waitress even remembered my order. She is so kind! She went above & beyond & took the initiative to hold the door for my elderly mother & help her both going in & leaving while I parked the car & brought it around.

This place is amazing. The wonderful women at the front always greets everything like a long time friend rather then the customer and always remembers what my boyfriend and i get. I just took my parents here for the first time tonight. My dad who had traveled the world and eaten sushi everyone said that this is the most authentic out of any sushi he’s had in the US. I am a long time lover of Blue Sushi, but this place beats that. It is so fresh, the service is top tier even with two workers. They greet and meet all needs with true care, compassion, and speedy. This is the #1 Sushi Place in my mind all around.

First time getting takeout from Yamada Sushi & Poke. Everyone in the family got exactly what they ordered. Food was fresh and still quite warm when we got home. Service was super friendly. Will definitely eat here again!
