Great food & amazing service! My coworkers go regularly for lunch & I joined them for the first time last week. Went again today with my family & the waitress even remembered my order. She is so kind! She went above & beyond & took the initiative to hold the door for my elderly mother & help her both going in & leaving while I parked the car & brought it around.

This place is amazing. The wonderful women at the front always greets everything like a long time friend rather then the customer and always remembers what my boyfriend and i get. I just took my parents here for the first time tonight. My dad who had traveled the world and eaten sushi everyone said that this is the most authentic out of any sushi he’s had in the US. I am a long time lover of Blue Sushi, but this place beats that. It is so fresh, the service is top tier even with two workers. They greet and meet all needs with true care, compassion, and speedy. This is the #1 Sushi Place in my mind all around.

We were actually headed somewhere else for dinner, but I happened to spot Yamada as we were driving nearby. I suggested we pull into the plaza to take a peek. It didn't look busy at all on a Friday night, so we popped in.Yamada is tucked away in a big strip mall, so there's plenty of parking. Inside the restaurant is quaint. They kept the design simple. Not a ton of seating, though. The service was very friendly. There was just one lady taking/serving orders, and we only saw one sushi chef. Thankfully it wasn't too busy, so our food came in very reasonable timing. We ordered onion soup, sashimi appetizer, Crazy Tuna roll, Coconut Island roll, and Bumble Bee roll. The onion soup was decent. It was served in a cute bowl, although with a plastic spoon, which took away from the aesthetics. I liked that it was a nice small bowl of soup and only cost something like $2.25, so it didn't fill us up too much before the main food arrived. The sashimi sampler included six pieces of fish: two salmon, two tuna, and two pieces of some white fish. Everything tasted great. All three rolls were very good. I was really excited about Coconut Island since I love coconut, and it was good, but the Bumble Bee roll exceed our expectations. The Crazy Tuna was unique because it was topped with seared seasoning, providing a nice smoky flavor.Pricing was very reasonable. Turned out to be a great place for date night.

First time getting takeout from Yamada Sushi & Poke. Everyone in the family got exactly what they ordered. Food was fresh and still quite warm when we got home. Service was super friendly. Will definitely eat here again!

Mine & my boyfriend’s favorite place for poke. It’s always so good! The poke bowls come with miso soup (I haven’t tried it & give it to my boyfriend but he likes it)

We've ordered for pickup a few times from this place. The food is really good! For the price, the portions are great. Service is fast, too. Several vegetarian options. Will keep going back.

Went for lunch and got the 3 roll lunch special. It's definitely worth the price. You get 3 rolls and a soup or salad for under $15. The server was attentive and it was speedy enough to get in, order and eat all in my lunch hour.

I recently visited for the first time, ordering hot green tea, a fried calamari appetizer, and large poke bowl. The calamari was not too oily from the frying process, and the poke bowl was delicious.I’m looking forward to my next visit, and trying some of their sushi in the future.Update September 2023: Four years later I have a great experience every time. Consistently delicious food and friendly service. Easily the best Poke in the area!

Great food and great service! I ordered the avocado salad and the sashimi/sushi combo which also came with miso soup. They were all delicious and good quality.

If you want mediocre sushi, then this is place for you. I got California and Philly roll - neither were fresh and there wasn’t much rice covering the rolls. Disappointing.

This is one of the strangest reviews I've written:Agadashi tofu, spicy tuna, California, and spider rolls - all solid 3.5 to 4. Make sure you ask for no mayo on your spicy tuna or it'll be doused. We were the only ones in the restaurant and the server was attentive and friendly. The bathroom and hallway were filthy. I didn't go until after the meal, or we would have left. Everything was dirty from the floor up. That led me to check the health violations, which weren't reassuring. We won't return because of the lack of cleanliness.
