I have been driving by Yamado for decades, and I finally stopped in...now I am kicking myself for missing years of delicious sushi across the street from my home!

The fish was fresh and delicious, the rolls creative and tasty. The chef provided us with an extra ponzu-wasabi dipping sauce which was just absurdly scrumptious. The space is small, but extremely clean and eclectically decorated. Service was top-notch.

My family and I love this place! We look for any excuse to stop by, to the point where my family from out of town ask to go when they’re over. The sushi is incredible and fresh! I have yet to have sushi as good as theirs anywhere else. The hot foods are also absolutely delicious, some of my favorites being the veggie tempura and the udon soups. The couple that run the restaurant are very kind and attentive. I mentioned that I love the pickled ginger and the chef brought me a to-go container full of it! The space feels super cozy, but never cramped.

TL;DR - amazing mom and pop owned sushi/Japanese food place. Go there!

Great local hidden gem, mom and pop style sushi of the highest quality. Owner/chef serves with his wife/partner. Homemade sauces and flair. You feel like you’re the star of the show when you’re here. Haven’t tried the ramen yet, but it’s fully customizable and looks amazing.
