It has gone down hill since new management food tastes bad and drinks seemed watered down I do not recommend this place I recommend John Taffer come rescue this bar because it’s absolutely horrible now

We have been to the Railside Bar previously and had a good meal but this time was a different story. The food took forever to get to us and when it did all of our meals were bland. Waffle fries were good though. We were told by waitresses several times that the food would be coming out but it never came out when they said. However, service staff was very friendly! The table next to us also had a problem with their order and we heard the waitress say they were under new ownership. Since they were friendly, we will try going again, maybe just wait a little until they get everything on track.

Heard they had gizzards. They were great along with everything else we had. Great service. We'll be back. Only 45 minutes from home. Learned from Jessica that everything is home made.
A real unique bar with a great menu. Fun rural/railroad atmosphere. One of those places you're glad you came upon.

Been eating at this place since a kid and it brings life to the Nelson locals, the staff is friendly and treats everyone like family, the owner is always in the establishment always checking in on everyone as well as making sure everyone walks out with a smile, I’ve seen negative reviews and I can say with confidence the people leaving negative reviews are not being honest, you get fresh quality food for a very fair price, this place gets packed sometimes so the wait is a little longer then people expect but everything is being made fresh to order, I have some issues with my orders that have been happening more frequently like my fries being soggy and undercooked or my chicken being tuff and overcooked but it’s not very common but still disappointing other then that I have nothing to complain about, come in with patience and a empty stomach and leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face
