Been eating at this place since a kid and it brings life to the Nelson locals, the staff is friendly and treats everyone like family, the owner is always in the establishment always checking in on everyone as well as making sure everyone walks out with a smile, I’ve seen negative reviews and I can say with confidence the people leaving negative reviews are not being honest, you get fresh quality food for a very fair price, this place gets packed sometimes so the wait is a little longer then people expect but everything is being made fresh to order, I have some issues with my orders that have been happening more frequently like my fries being soggy and undercooked or my chicken being tuff and overcooked but it’s not very common but still disappointing other then that I have nothing to complain about, come in with patience and a empty stomach and leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face

First time experiencd at Railside. Absolutely the very best waitress with Jess and Jess! Jess Walters is also the best massage therapist in Sauk Valley area working in Sterling. Massage By Jess at Statik Salon. Highly recommend her and Railside cheeseburger was very good! Jess and Jess waitresses.... top notch!

Don’t know why I haven’t posted this review sooner; been stopping here for years. Never had a meal come out of the kitchen that was anything less than excellent. Krista & her staff take great care in providing quality food & ensuring every surface is spic & span.Although no longer living in the area, whenever I return, I always try to make a stop here to say hi & generally get whatever's the daily special. Last time it was the Friday Fish Fry & a bowl of beef noodle with an extra breadstick - yummy. I highly recommend you stop at this location. Thanks Krista, for the great customer service & delicious food.
