We stopped in on our way to Mattoon to a cafe called the Depot in Neoga, Il. today. The Cod sandwich on the special was a minced fish similar to McDonalds. The fries were excellent and a good portion. The salad was lettuce and cheese and my wife does not eat cheese so basically lettuce but the waitress did tell us that. Her soup was luke warm. The waitress was friendly and took our order but never returned so I was out of tea for half my meal. The second waitress was showing photos on her phone to other customers but we weren't her table anyway. The restroom was out of toilet paper. The price was fair. We will probably stop in again as every cafe has an off day and we will try something different and hopefully we can improve on our feedback as for a highly rated cafe we were dissapointed.

I dont typically eat breakfast but ordered the Pancake & Egg with a side of bacon. Scrambled eggs were yummy, bacon was cooked perfectly and melted as you ate it, and the pancake had a lot of flavor. Overall very good, and the waitress was attentive. Prices are reasonable and the building was clean. Will be stopping again ???

Decent little place to have a meal. Great for truckers to stop for the night or just need a break and a meal.

Great local diner. Paula is fantasticSometimes it is best to keep it simple and the eggs were nicely over easy, hash browns were crispy, as requested. Their homemade sausage links were a nice touch.

Great roadside stop. Such a cool old building too! Reminds me of a 1960’s church. Service is always so happy & nice. This is a small town establishment so slow down a little if you’re in a rush. This won’t be the fastest meal, but it may be the most relaxing way to start your morning. Breakfast is pretty dang good. $8.50 for 2 eggs, toast, sausage, & hash browns. Skip the gravy. It’s not homemade. Make it $12 for country fried steak & eggs or strip steak & eggs. $13 for a ribeye. Coffee did the trick. Grab gas on the way out since it’s a filling station too. Two birds & all. Oh!! I almost forgot. Try a slice of PIE ?

A wonderful little gem hidden away. They really need more publicity. It's an old school fuel stop. They have great service and amazing food. It's nice to go in and sit down to eat a fresh meal. I get so tired of these fast food truck stops.

Great little "old school" restaurant with truck parking. Great food, service, and pricing. Young lady serving is not the typical younger generation. Have been here several times and have yet to see her idol or on her phone. All, keep up the good work. I will be stopping in every chance I get.
