Los Comales offers no frills great authentic Mexican food. The tacos are consistently delicious and the quality and flavor are still absolutely there. The chips are good, and the taco menu is extensive and solid. One reviewer called it the best Mexican food experience in the community, and another said it is hands down one of the best for Mexican food. However, a birria torta meal had meat that was surprisingly dry with no consomé. The pricing is starting to feel excessive, with a 20-taco option now $65+. Service was pretty slow, and a menudo did not have enough meat to justify the price. The main thing to like is the nostalgia. For those seeking something fancy, try somewhere else.
