“Middle of nowhere small small town family restaurant, and bar. The seating matches the town's size. You feel welcome no matter who you are or where you are from. The food is tasty. Not a crazy menu but something for most normal people. Prices are nit outrageous. 25.00 for two. Just know, take that green stuff they called cash, cards are not allowed. They do have an ATM for those of us who are married and never have any cash because their spouse has it all. Haha! Enjoyable dinner. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We never wanted anything. In small towns places close early this place stays open late, have to love that!!”

“We stopped by on our way back from a camping trip - the lady who took care of us was sooo sweet! We loved the oatmeal date bars, devoured the fresh cinnamon rolls (so good when heated up!) and drooled over the mini pecan pies. We will make sure to stop back next time we’re in the area!”

“This is a great little cocktail bar. Drinks are reasonably priced. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable with a beautiful river stone bar top that I could look at for hours. Seating is nice with good stools and just enough tables and booths. The owner and bartenders are wonderful people who take time to chat. My favorite thing about this place is that I can drink from a real glass instead of plastic like most places!”

“Decent restaurant to eat at. I really enjoy the food here and its worth the price to pay to eat. Comparing how much you pay at most fast food places you get more for your money here. Building is a bit outdated and could use a touch up. Wish they had brought back the regular plates instead of the disposable plates.”

“Vegetarian options: Yo, they definitely got a bunch of vegetarian options on the menu. They have everything! The staff is super respectful and makes sure everyone, whether they're eating in or taking out, has everything they need. The food is always fresh and hot off the grill. The place is really clean and it's totally worth the price. It's even cheaper than fast food! I highly recommend it!

Parking: Accessible parking for individuals with disabilities and designated areas for curbside pickup are conveniently located on the south and east sides of the street. Additionally, a spacious parking lot is available on the same side of the street.

Kid-friendliness: Yo, it's fast, the staff's super chill, and the place is always spotless. Trust me, you won't regret eating there, and your wallet will thank you too.”

“A cute little BBQ spot!I tried the brisket sandwich and it was good. More of a pot roast style brisket than a central Texas style. Their Manhattan style sounds like it would be fantastic with Texas toast and mashed potatoes!The chicken and rib sandwiches were good too!They seemed on the mild side for smoke flavor but still tasted good. A good texture, not fall apart mush but still tender. The sauce was tasty and added a lot to the flavor.A good sized little sandwich for the price. You can eat one or two and still have a good day without breaking out in the meat sweats!Lot's of interesting options on the menu beyond the traditional BBQ fare.”

“I didn't have any food but it's a good place to drink. The atmosphere was fun, but more of a young people's spot. They had a DJ going the nights I was there and they played good music. They also have drink specials that are worth your while like domestic cans for a buck fifty on Thursday nights. The bartenders were very cool and spot on with their service.”

“My husband and I were passing through here on the way home from the eclipse, looking for lunch. I always look for diners in small towns, because I believe more often than not they will serve good, home cooked comfort food. Which is just what you need before a long ride home. Hovey's perfectly fit that description and did not disappoint.There was plenty of room in the restaurant, but we opted to sit at the window so we could take in the sight of the main street. There was a fairly steady influx of people coming in for lunch, so service was a little slow but nothing outrageous. My husband ordered the Country Fried Steak which came with two large pieces, accompanied by small bowls of mashed potatoes, coleslaw and gravy. Everything was very good, especially the coleslaw. My husband is a self-proclaimed coleslaw connoisseur, and he thought Hovey's was the best he's had in a while. He's also not a big fan of gravy, but thought theirs was a great compliment to the steak, being rich and creamy and not overly seasoned. I decided to try the breaded Five Alarm Chicken sandwich, and thought that was delicious. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the pepper jack cheese, hot sauce and jalapenos were the perfect way to round it all out. Overall a savory sandwich with a nice kick.If you stop in for a bite, head next door after your meal to visit Chilly Willy's. Both places are a nice way to spend your stop in Olney.”
