Service was excellent. The salad bar was fine, nothing special. Our steaks were cooked as ordered but very underseasoned.

Served us 2 raw steaks out of the 10 we got. Disgusting. Bread was good though
A little pricey, but great food

I visited Alexander's last night based on a coworker's recommendation. As someone who travels to Bloomington twice a month from Texas, I've been on the hunt for a quality steakhouse in the area.
I chose to sit at the bar, where the bartender was excellent—attentive and personable throughout my visit. I ordered the 16oz ribeye cooked medium rare with a baked potato. While the wait time was a bit longer than expected, the real disappointment came when the food arrived.
The baked potato was surprisingly small, measuring only 3-3.5 inches in diameter, the smallest I've ever been served at a steakhouse. I finished it in four bites. The ribeye was a decent size, but unfortunately lacked flavor and had a grayish tint that suggested it had been previously frozen rather than fresh.
The service was the highlight of the evening, but the food fell short of what I'd expect from a steakhouse, especially given the pricing and reputation. I left feeling underwhelmed and will continue my search for a great steak in Bloomington.

Very nice place but the prices seemed too high for the particular atmosphere.

For a 57 dollar steak that I paid to have them cook. Their first atemt raw when ordered medium. 2nd time charbroil on outside still not cooked. Their was 5 of us. 2 of the steaks good. The other 3 not so much. To have that kind of food on a 250 bill pretty bad. Service was bad due to understaffed not really his fault. But still not impressed

Great quality steaks and a unique atmosphere. It's a comfortable dining room good for families, coworkers, or friends. Good bar and beer selection too. A good steak dinner will run about $40 which includes a salad bar, potato, and Texas toast.
