“COULD NOT OF BEEN HAPPIER. 1-28-24 First time at Jack's. sorry was in the road with my husband saying we are going to Jack's for dinner. long story short!! was no disappointment when we went or left. The olace wA nicely set up with cloth napkins with that table dressed for invited guessed. place was clean and sparkling. I didn't have no idea what kind of place we was at. looking at the menu so many things I wanted. had a taste for a Greek salad but decide to go for the pita. Not sure of side dish the very nice waiters recommended the vegetables. Tired of fries and wanting so.ething different and her saving they have good vegetables I ordered. My husband ordered the Sheppard pie after back and for with the cheese steak. He got some vegetables also. my husband asked for a beer but found out it was BYOB. but quickly changed his mind when he asked about the lemonade. The sweet girl serving us (sorry forgot her name but only ine serving in Sunday 1-28-24.) I got the normal unsweetened tea. our food only taking a short time the food came out. The food was displayed on our plate as if they were eating- very nice. I must say my Gryos was best I ever tasted. I believe or taste like the pita was tasteful like a Flatbread and very fresh. The sandwich was very large making it easier to eat some on the meT and fiings with a fork. The sauce was very good knowing it was homemade and fresh not like you get in most places with a pita. There. was plenty of fresh vegetables cooked just so perfect. My husband's Pilly cheese steak was very delicious that the prime Rib used was tender and tasteful. Again the sauce was homemade with you can tell for the sandwich as it had a bit of hoursy sauce to it. Before I needed my waiters was there checking to make sure everything wS ok, if we needed anything. we let her know it was perfect she offered a refill on my tea when she noticed it was low. we was very happy with our meal and the price was very normal of everywhere around even though it was a upscale little nicer place than your ever run around the corner place.”

“We live in the St. Louis area, and found ourselves driving right past the Destihl brewery on our way back from Chicago. We are big fans of Destihl products that are distributed locally (my current favorite is Tourbus in the Deadhead IPA series), so we figured it would be a treat to try some on tap - and we were not disappointed! We actually stopped for lunch, and honestly their menu was surprisingly fun and creative (not your average taproom fare). We shared some verde pork tacos and cheese curds, and my kid had a burger that she destroyed (and raved about). All in all, everyone was happy, the consumables were fantastic, the brewery space itself is incredibly impressive, and despite being there at noon on Father's Day, we had great service and nothing felt overwhelming. Also, huge bonus points for floor-ceiling bathroom stalls. We would definitely take a field trip from St. Louis back to Destihl for a special beer release or event.”

“There's a reason this TSC is 5 stars through and through—it's a shining beacon of service and good quality + reliability in Bloomington-Normal, a metro already packed full of restaurants. I love trying the new smoothies, the non-drink menu is ideal, and I really hope to see more unique entries and flavor combinations in the near future. Huge props go to the team running this location as well—in my years of digesting Google Maps data, I have never seen 5 star consistency retained for this long. Keep it up!”

“Girls up front were friendly and prompt upon arrival. Our server was Taylor. She was wonderful! Very nice! Made sure we had everything we needed but didn't interrupt our meal. She was very knowledgeable of menu items and had great recommendations. Food was delicious as always. Never have had a bad experience coming here. Food and service is always 10/10!”

“Four stars at best. We eat breakfast out daily and gravitate to owners who mingle and serve coffee rather than sit in the corner and play boss. The restaurant is clean and generically decorated. If the wait staff were smaller, bussed their own tables, and got rid of the cumbersome walkie talkies, efficiency would drastically improve allowing menu price relief and increased staff wages. The $3.75 price/ cup of coffee (over $4 with tip) instantly signals an over priced menu and the most expensive cup of coffee in town.”

“They have the best bacon of any breakfast place I’ve tried! It is thick cut so if that isn’t your thing you may not be as thrilled, but it is so good. Their staff is always prompt and friendly. I have had their strawberry French toast and it’s great! Good coffee, laid back environment and you don’t have to wait too long usually to be seated. They have a wait list you can join before you head their way which is very convenient.”

“I do not recommend this restaurant. I went to Fiala Brothers last night at 8pm and ordered food using their Kiosk. I waited 45 minutes and didn't receive my food. After 45 minutes, I went up to the bartender and he told me that the kitchen closed at 7pm. He told me that they should put a sign out to explain that the kitchen is closed at 7pm, but there was no signage anywhere stating that the kitchen was closed. The signage stated that you could order using the kiosk many places in the restaurant. Luckily, the bartender refunded my money, but I was very displeased with the visit. Also, there were two bartenders working last night, but one of them was always standing in the background not interacting with guests. He was just wondering around the restaurant. I felt like he wasn't improving the service at all and instead was causing a negative outlook on the restaurant. I will not be returning to this restaurant.”

“I’m so glad that this coffee shop opened on this side of town. I live in Pontiac and don’t get to B/N much, but when I do, I hit this gem of a coffee shop.

The moment I walk in I feel like I belong. I love the bright, peaceful decor. The window light on the front is amazing. The bathrooms are updated and clean all of the time.

The coffee!! These baristas listen! I love my lattes extra hot. Most baristas will roll their eyes at me and won’t make my lattes extra hot. However, there is one particular girl at this coffee shop who hits the mark every time. I have yet to get her name, but I appreciate her.

I didn’t give this place 5 stars, but it’s definitely a 4.9. ;) What would make it a 5 star for me, personally is offering drinks in ceramic mugs when I’m staying there to drink my coffee and an option for gluten AND dairy free baked goods.”

“We had an unexpected delay on our way home from Chicago with students and staff and were stuck in a parking lot on our charter bus for several hours. I needed to feed everyone and this Chick-fil-A location graciously agreed to quickly make up our food and deliver it to our bus location! They also gave us a school discount even though I did not ask for it. Everyone I spoke with and encountered were super friendly and helpful and I was so relieved to know I could feed the students while we waited for another bus to come and get us. Chick-fil-A never lets me down - anywhere we are! Thank you so much for excellent service and food and for kindness on a tough day!”

“I recently visited Nautical Bowls in downtown Normal on their grand opening, and it was an absolute delight. Although I was eager to try their flight of acai bowls, the cups hadn't arrived yet, so I'll definitely be back for that. I went with my family and a few friends, and we each tried a different bowl, giving us the chance to sample a good portion of their menu. The selection was impressive, and every bowl we tried was delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, even though they were clearly exhausted from the long line of eager customers stretching down the street. If you're looking for a fresh alternative to the usual fast food options, Nautical Bowls is a fantastic choice. With gluten-free and dairy-free options, there's something for everyone. Highly recommended!”

“I am the most obnoxiously difficult person to feed because of dietary sensitivities that sound like I'm making them up--like, who has problems digesting rice? Or carrots?! Fortunately, I grow most of my own food and breakfast and dinner are reliable, easy meals because they come from my garden. Lunch is another story entirely.

I work for a firm that is routinely busy during the noon hour and I feel more comfortable sticking around whenever possible to ensure the transition from morning to afternoon client meetings is as smooth as possible...and someone is around to sign for packages. This means I either have to plan to pack a lunch (doable, but also very easy to forget while running around in a totally different part of the building) or order delivery. There are not a lot of healthy delivery options that cater to someone who's digestive tract gives nearly everything that isn't a pepper or vinegar the middle finger. There are fewer places with staff that actually pay attention to an order with lots of specific ingredient substitutions.

CoreLife makes my exact same bowl of spicy acid salad precisely the way I like, nearly every day, ACCURATELY, and has a rewards programme that lets me schedule my order at 2:00 AM three days beforehand if I know that Thursday is going to be particularly batcrap. I set it and forget it and can cancel if something changes and I have to work remotely or from one of our other offices across the state. I CANNOT EMPHASISE ENOUGH HOW CONVENIENT AND STRESS-FREE THIS PLACE HAS MADE THE CONCEPT OF LUNCH. Please do yourself a favour and place an order. Even if your intestines are unicorn-level problematic, you will find something you love, prepared with love, using the consistently freshest, healthiest ingredients.”

“Used to be a frequent at the old firehouse. My wife and I used to have once a week date nights there. Since going vegan they finally have a vegan cheese option and it’s very good. The XL New York vegan cheese is our go to! The old location and the ambiance was better overall and customer service here is really lacking but you do what you gotta do! Will be ordering again.

Parking: Parking is always a gamble because uptown normal is always busy unless the students are gone. Easy to access if you’re walking around but parking isn’t great to pickup or dine in.”

“The food here is usually really good. It's a nice burger joint on campus located in the Student Bone Center. One thing I noticed is that some of the staff is usually unfriendly, but not all of the time. The food does take a really long time to come out though.”

“Customer service is friendly. Must try the cookie crumble. We also had the horchata drink but it was very overwhelming with the coconut powder and tasted more like a coconut drink. They have a drive-thru if you don’t want to go in. The drive-thru is limited space. Avoid high coffee times because you might be in the street waiting due to limited parking/drive-thru space.

Parking: Parking is very limited in this area because of all the nearby stores”
