“Each time I dine at LS, I’m incredibly impressed that we have this gem nearby. The quality is what you would expect in the city…just top notch. My friends and I enjoy getting different dishes so we can try everything. The cocktails are incredible too. Highly recommend for date night, special occasion or to hang in the bar with friends. Don’t miss out on the amazing desserts too!”
“Stopped here for dinner while passing through the area. Typical bar atmosphere with very nice employees. We were seated right away. After you choose your order you will need to go to the bar and order be pay for it. It will be brought to your table once done. There is no table service though. The burgers we got were super delicious and juicy. Can substitute the side for whichever one you want from the appetizer menu in whole or half. Cooks were super fast and I have to say I was amazed at how clean the kitchen and exhaust hood were. Amazing place!”
“My favorite cafe to go to, by far. I first met the owners when they had their little coffee trailer on Main Street a couple years ago, and it makes me happy to see how far they’ve come with their efforts. The drinks are amazing and original. It’s right in the middle of downtown Lexington, and not far from anything in this town.Parking: There are plenty of spots on the street, spaces along Cedar st, and there’s two parking lots not far from the shop”
“Born in Illinois, live in Tennessee. Can't get a tenderloin in Tennessee. I miss them. Here to visit family and ate here tonight. Tenderloin was the very best I have had in very long time. Definitely a 10 without a doubt. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant and the tenderloins. On sweet bread, that was awesome. French fries ”
“Dat bar is an old school drive bar. There isnt a big menu for food, there arent 30 beers on tap. It's easy to find a table, and if you're hungry, you can get a classic bar pizza. As long as you approach this bar for what it actually is, you can have a great time here. They have darts, pool, and checkers. Peanuts in the shell are free, just toss the shells on the ground. Folks are reserved, but friendly. Dont expect the newest spiced illinois spiced new England spiced ipa. They dont have it. But if you actually want to hear your friends, this is the place. It's wonderful, but it's not a hip biergarten, it's a small town bar, and be prepared for that. So long as you accept that, and the cheap beer that comes with it, you can have a fun time. Shoot some pool, drink some Busch, and have a pizza. It's worth it.”
“I've never been to a checkers before. It was a great experience. It took a little longer than it should have but they were very apologetic about it. They were very nice to ”
“This place has really stepped up since my last visit. Fast curtious service and they had everything they were supposed to to serve the public. No longer a place I will avoid. Nice job.”
“We officially made it into Common Grounds in Gridley today for lunch. I should have taken a picture of all of our food! We have had some of their baked goods at Crafted before and a couple other events but this was our first time at this lovely little coffee/ lunch shop! Everything we had was SOOO good. I am thankful we don't live closer as this would be a problem! Highly recommend making the 25 minute drive. It is worth every penny and it was a beautiful day for a drive in the country! We all sampled each other's food but all were excellent! We had:-Chili and the fluffiest cornbread with honey butter.-Pulled pork with homemade Mac and cheese-bisquits and gravy-BBQ chicken /ranch pizza on super thin crust-white choc mocha-peach tea-mango smoothiePlus toll house pie and blackberry lemonade pie! The lemon was perky just how my husband loves it!The owner Katrina is so sweet and we told her over and over again how amazing everything was! We wish we had something this amazing in Bloomington but the drive out to Gridley is totally worth it!Damon kept saying over and over how impressed he was with common ground, he wants to go weekly!”
“The best brewery around! This is a great place to bring the whole family, with Joe's Station House Pizza on site as well as a self serve beer wall, there's plenty to keep the adults occupied. But what about the kids, you may ask? With numerous TVs, vintage video games and arcade games, board games and table games, the kids will find themselves in paradise. When its warm you can find yourself outside in the beer garden playing bags or sand volleyball. OBs regularly features very talented musicians for some free entertainment. On top of all that, the event space available to rent really rounds out the place.”
“Crossroads Cafe was the perfect meeting place to reconnect with a dear friend over coffee and fresh baked cherry cinnamon rolls! ☕️ This place offers such an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. The owners are so neat! I really appreciated their attentive service so I went back the next day to try their lunch menu. I highly recommend their Italian sandwich! ?My favorite thing about this place is their drive-thru service, so you can enjoy it on the go if you are just passing through!! ?”
“Easy to get to with a fun atmosphere. I believe it's the best kept secret of Towanda for excellent food and service. I look forward to going there when the weather warms up for the open ”
“Small local bar that serves a good burger and has typical selection of beers. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The Tap has adequate seating during colder days, and in the summer there is outdoor seating. The decor is your average bar scene. Good place for car enthusiasts, bikers, and families who like to venture out.”
“Overall, all the staff here have always been welcoming and fun to talk to. The food there is fantastic, especially if Olivia or Christine are the ones cooking. Even the regulars there are super friendly. Highly recommend!”
“Been awhile since I've been there but went back with my old school friends and we had some great service and awesome food the special was tenderloin and fries and it was delicious”
“Great menu selection with budget friendly prices and a small town feel. Service is always prompt, coffee is always hot, and you'll often get a wave from behind the girill. Clean and cozy environment.”
“Pat and team at Cooksville are all around wonderful people and the food is always delicious. We appreciate having this small town bar in our community. In addition, thank you for supporting your local community and the FFA! That’s what small businesses are all about and we appreciate you!”
“So good! I'm actually not normally a fan of the typical dumplings from Asian places (they look good, and I want to like them, but they're boring for me). But these bao buns from Bao Destination are like extra big, extra fluffy, extra tasty versions of a dumpling, and they're great. And the sauce is wonderful, and surprisingly spicy.”
“Had a birthday party there for my brother. Place is bigger than it looks from the outside. Really nice meeting all on the first floor basement bar area is fantastic.”
“Had the liver and onions, best I've ever had. Wife had salmon, came out pretty good size, not small. Said it was very tasty. Nick was our server, said he had been there about 8 days, very attentive, bill was very reasonable. 5 stars plus, plus...”
“Food was delicious! Soy Garlic was great, but the yang-nyoem was even better. If you like spicy, go for the spicy! Our server Joseph, was knowledgeable and friendly. Dessert donuts are a MUST!”
“Don't mistake this for just a bar. We haven't had anything to drink here but it's still one of the only places we've gone to repeatedly in Bloomington. The doh-nuts are really good--in fact, they're dangerous. Their pizza is supposed to be good but so far we've only had their sandwiches. The beef is super good. The other Joe's (Joe's Station) has an incredibly good Italian grinder. I wish Joe's Pub, this sister restaurant, had it. But that's ok. Everything else is served hot and quickly and the flavors are great. Staff is friendly and it's usually not too busy.”
“I met Kelly yesterday after another Subway messed up my order. Without question she made the sandwich again and apologized for the mistake. I’m going through chemotherapy and was on my way to the Cancer Center. I was nervous even approaching her after the way I was treated on College Ave. I will only visit the Airport location, now. Kelly was a breath of fresh air in a market where good customer service is hard to find! Thank you, Kelly for being an amazing human! I appreciate you!”
“Things to do at restaurant/bar: Live music. Watch/ Play on2 sand volleyball courts. Axe throwing. Pound nails into tree stump. 2 sets of cornhole/ bags/ whatever you call it.Service not always timely. But not a huge deal”
“Always nice people oat this location. My first stop when heading to Michigan to visit family.Parking: Not going to be a problem hereKid-friendliness: Playhouse and what kid does not like McDonald's?Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room to get around.”
“This is such a childhood restaurant for me. Great ice cream for the summer. Best coleslaw ever. Pulled pork sandwiches and spicy chicken sandwiches are some faves. Family friendly.Parking: Right by the restaurant. Not a whole lot of space, but somehow holds infinite cars.Kid-friendliness: Amazing. Servers are nice, decorations everywhere, amazing vibe, radio is going, high chairs available. If you bring sharpies you can sign your name on the back wall.”
