Fort Jesse Cafe in Normal, IL, is a beloved brunch spot known for its excellent service, welcoming atmosphere, and delicious food. The cafe offers a variety of popular dishes such as Shrimp and Grits, Eggs Benedict, and Cornmeal Pancakes. Customers rave about the friendly service and the "sit around your kitchen table" vibe that makes repeat visitors feel like family. The cafe is praised for its unique and flavorful dishes, like the seasonal corned beef skillet and Irish crème cold brew. Reservations are recommended due to its popularity and limited seating space.

Amazing food and outstanding service despite them being packed. Definitely more than a "Normal" cafe.

I had the county fried steak.. wow. Fantastic. Perfect, not too greasy or over breaded. Family enjoyed their meals as well.. Fresh cinnamon roll awfully good too. Get reservations!

Noisy, limited seating for large groups, but an atypical central Illinois brunch menu that surely delivers and delights! Expect $20 pp

So darn good! Our server was Tasha. She was professional and pleasant. Asked if my mother who’s 89 would like a half order of French toast instead of the full order, which was perfect for her. She loved the French toast and I loved my Benedict Chicken and Waffles. What a wonderful experience. Great value! Definitely be back.

Went in at 10:04am requesting a two top. Three open little two tops. Said it's a 40 min wait because they have someone that has a 10am reservation and they were not even there yet. The three two top tables were not even next to each other. Makes no sense. No one in line and it's a 40 min wait for two.

Stood in line to hear the party of 2 people in front of us told 15 min wait then the kid told us who was a party of 3 its an hour wait with 4 tables open and no other people in line waiting and a 4 top table just finishing and walking out. Not sure why we were told an hour wait … Oh well is what it is just thought people would like to know.

Always good but I don’t understand the need for a reservation. I don’t live in the area and will make a point to go there when in the area. Last time we were turned away. Good food and service
