Don't know if the food was good. We walked in, no one waiting, at least 15 open tables, and we were asked if we called ahead. We were driving through, so no, we didn't call for reservations for a cafe. 20 minutes to get a table. People behind us walked out, too. Guess they didn't want to stand around for 20 minutes when there were so many open tables either. Might be very goodGuess we will never know.

I love Fort Jesse Cafe !! I try to go here as often as possible. The food, service, atmosphere and overall vibe is amazing. Locally owned and amazingly staffed. This is my go to spot for a great overall experience !!!

Fort Jesse Café is a terrific restaurant. Portions are enormous food quality is exceptional, and preparation Is meticulous. And Service staff is very very attentive.The restaurant is very clean and welcoming… But not quite as cozy as I would care for… Not sure if this is the lighting on the finishes or just the coldness of the materials in the finishesPrices are modest… Especially for what they deliver in serving sizeIt’s a little difficult to see them because they don’t have a sign on the street and their logo is not very “poppy”

Great food and atmosphere. Has a few small issues with table service and wait on a saturdayay at 1pm. Wrong creamer brought out and sofa machine was down but the staff recovered and pivoted well. Great attitudes and personalities. Food was incredible especially at the price. Totally a return-to-again favorite.Parking: Decent number of spots shared with other nearby businesses. Lot is a bit narrow 2 rows shares with a drive through restraunt ajoined to the lot.

I called ahead to ask to be put on the waiting list. The person answering the phone said they don't do that. I asked how long the wait was. He didn't know (because he wasn't near enough to the hostess to ask.)When I got to the restaurant, the hostess asked if I had a reservation. I said no. She said they had open tables if I would have called maybe 30-60 mins earlier. I DID CALL! @Ft.Jesse, next time make sure if you answer the phone that you trained in how to respond.The food was mostly good. However, we ate about 1:30p, maybe 30 mins prior to close. The hash browns they served our entire table tasted burned and dry like they had been cooked for an hour or more. I've worked at Denny's /Perkin's type restaurants before that pre-made some of their food to speed up service (e.g., bacon and hash browns). I'm guessing that's what they did for our order. It tasted horrible. @Ft. Jesse, you're supposed to better than that.

I absolutely LOVE this cafe. It's small so call early for reservations. Food has a southern vibe that is so tasty. Being a seafood lover. I get meals with shrimp because the chef knows how to cook them properly!! Never had a tough shrimp and I've been going there since they opened. Check the menu to see if their food is appealing to you. Not fancy. It's oh, so tasty.Parking: The lot is small. Drive around. You'll find a spot.
