We were picking up our car at the dealership in Bloomington and decided to stop at Jason’s Deli for dinner. We’d never been to this location before and we love their food. The East Peoria location closed unexpectedly and it’s been a while since we’ve eaten there so we were looking forward to it. This Bloomington location is definitely larger than the one we were used to, and I loved how the seating is somewhat divided so everyone can enjoy a little privacy. They have a beautiful salad bar, and honestly… where else can you get free ice cream for dessert?! I tried the barbecue brisket sandwich for the first time and it was actually really good—could’ve used just a little more barbecue sauce, but I’d definitely order it again. I also had the chicken pot pie soup, which is my favorite there, and my husband got the Irish potato soup, which is equally delicious. We really enjoyed our relaxed, private dinner and will absolutely be back!

Usually I just get the salad bar which is always a good choice. Today I was in the mood for a baked potato which I never choose. I ordered the Plain Jane with some extra toppings thinking I’d need them but I did not. The potato was ginormous and loaded with toppings.

For the second time my husband's panini was cold. The salad bar was not restocked. The floor was not cleaned and dangerous with items on the floor.

The employees here are the best. We had never been at a Jason’s before, the young lady at the front took so much time to explain the menu how to order and what would be the best value for us. The manager Westley was also there to help us. He went above and beyond what he needed to do. We were on our way home from a road-trip so we stopped, but we liked it so much we just might take the 1 1/2 hr ride to go again.
