Took 15 minutes after being seated for our waiter to even come over to take our drink orders then another 10 minutes to get our drinks back to us. We were sitting for well over an hour by the time our food got out to us. Our waiter was not very attentive and only check up on us twice the whole time we were there. Food was ok but not worth the over hour wait!

We ordered the Irish Ruben seen below. Bread burnt, all none rendered fat little meat which was tougher than dried out, seasoning is tasty not Irish flavored at all. Cordon on blue sandwich, dried dead tasteless chicken with some kind of unrecognizable meat that had died 10 times before put on sandwich, the battered Sausages burnt outside, the Sausages worst texture and seasoning. The Boxty Cheese Dip, nasty nasty nasty. Paste pot with raw flower was only taste. Cheese Dip was gross not even sure what it was. The cabbage on the side was seasoned with over powering cinnamon or coriander and mint nasty. We are still sick next day from food.

We really liked Maggie Miley’s Irish Pub. Our server took great care of us. This is a great casual meeting place, with a relaxed atmosphere, a solid draft beer selection and good food.

Very good food. We had onion rings (generous serving). The bangers and mash were authentic. The irish ate in the bread bowl was great, very good bread. Great service. Would highly recommend.

Had fish and fries to go yesterday for 8 people. Service was prompt and food was already waiting on pick up. Fries were like wet noodles. Batter was so dark it nearly looked black. Fish was fine but you really need to change your oil. Both fries and batter so dark oil has to have been very very old. Thick fries should be crunchy and golden and batter crispy and golden. Hope you take this review in the spirit it is meant and you will make a name of having best fish and fries in Normal

We were a bit disappointed. It has been a few years since our last visit due to moving out of state. When we moved back, we knew we would have to start going back. The spinach in the salad was beyond wilted and quite mushy, the battered sausages used to be great, but this time the batter was thick and doughy instead of the light and crispy we remembered. The salmon club was interesting, had the skin been crispy it would have been fine to be left on, but for a sandwich it should have been removed as it was a bit slimey and had to be removed before eating. The Irish breakfast had no beans, which it stated it came with and the soda bread was nothing like the soda bread I have had a million time before, it was dry and more like a slice of dense cake. On the plus side, the 3 types of sausage were very good as was the back bacon. The scotch eggs were cooked perfectly.

The place was great! The food was really good and BIG portions which is always a plus for me. The staff was super friendly and nice, one of the cooks was actually able to come walk around and chat for a minute and had a nice conversation with my family and I which was super sweet.
