My gold standard for pizza has always been Roberto’s in Elmhurst, which I grew up on and still love to this day. Since moving to this area, I’ve tried a number of local favorites to try to find a replacement for Roberto’s. I was looking for “good enough,” not expecting to find something better than my all time favorite.
Dare I say Al’s is my new favorite. The sauce, cheese, sausage, crust, are all excellent. More importantly - they are consistent. Always good. I’ve come to crave this more than my childhood comfort pizza, Roberto’s. This is a special place.

Al’s is Pizza is amazing! They need to be reviewed one bite reviews Dave Portnoy! It’s crispy not soggy. As Dave would say zero flop. The real thing.
Ordered again last night , don't know what's going on here , food and pizza were always good , now not so much , ordered calamari which was not cooked , rubbery as hell , chicken tenders so overcooked they were not edible , That's that , Good By Al
