I started going there when the owner became a client of the company I was working for in the mid-90s, setting up cash registers in the restaurant he opened for his nephew. I no longer live in Chicago, but make it a point to stop there and speak with the owner every chance I get. Always great food and exceptional service! You may have to wait in line, though. Understandably, it's a very popular place!”

“I picked up two corned beef and cabbage dinners today for St. Patrick’s Day. The corned beef was inedible(so tough), the carrots were undercooked and the cabbage tasteless. So I paid for 2 dinners of tasty boiled potatoes. I love your restaurant-have eaten there many times. Don’t know what happened?”

“I just received my cookies from UPS and let me tell you, absolutely delicious. Really takes you back to the days of the kid in the cookie jar. I ordered my cookies on Tuesday and received them on Saturday. I’m in Arizona so Jeff made sure they were packed up extra tight and all the boxes were wrapped in bubble wrap. As long as the cookie store is around I will be ordering my Christmas cookies from them. The absolute best, thank you Jeff.”

That is incredible customer service. (Oh, and my salad and soup — and even the extra toasty bagel I tried — were all fresh and delicious.)”

“Friends who were told about this place went and decided that they would go again a second night and bring us. My husband had the meatball sandwich and I had moscatelli pasta with eggplant parmesan. I had minestrone soup which was great and brought home 2/3 of the eggplant parm. You can have your choice of different pastas with different sauces and the alfredo sauce is divine”

“We have been going to this little gem for a couple of years. We hit this bar up before going to the movies. Good food, good beer selection. Nicely crafted mixed drinks. Staff is friendly. Service laks at times because staff is too busy with the regulars but on point most of the time”
